1950s Rock ‘ n’ Roll Welcome to the most vibrant and glamorous country in the world, in possibly one of the best eras of all time. Everywhere the youngsters were listening to a type of music which would transform the world. It was the preceding decade to the sixties where celebrity status ruled the world. With all the developments in the 50s from fashion, to design and music this truly was an iconic era. You will be amazed as you walk through the giant pink Cadillac walkway, a look-alike James Dean is talking to Marilyn Monroe, then in wanders Elvis. In the reception area mini burger canapés are served, with a plentiful array of ice cream sundaes.
This is a very versatile theme and can quite easily be transformed into a Grease set. The decorations are fabulous! A jukebox in the corner plays fifties music and the soundtrack from "Grease". The hall looks like a 50's style diner. Each high round, aluminium-edged white table is surrounded by fountain chairs upholstered in hot pink vinyl. Pink and white checked curtains flank a painted backdrop of a 1950's car. Pink and white balloons and streamers are everywhere. In the main hall a 50's swing band are playing on stage. Why not get guests to dress up in 1950s costumes to really get in the swing of things.
With all the entertainment specifically selected to follow this theme guests will really think they are living in an innocent age as they party the night away. We can even show iconic 1950s films, projected onto walls which gives the perception of being at the drive in movies. A great theme party for anytime of year.
