This is the story of the Winklhofer family’s company:Johann Baptist Winklhofer, who already built up theWanderer plant in Chemnitz in 1885, founded thecompany Joh. Winklhofer & Söhne KG in Munich,Sendling in 1916. His sons Dr. Rudolph and OttoWinklhofer managed to successfully lead the com -pany through the difficult times during the war andalso in the aftermath of the war.

The company gained STRENGTH IN ITS CORE COM-PETENCIES thanks to the qualified engineer GerhardWinklhofer, who used strategies such as increasingthe number of sites, going international and strivingfor incomparable quality.
