    { 18 - 24 AS, 2012 NIJUKTI KHABARPENCIL MAKING INDUSTRY

Introduction: Pencils are becoming more and more popular these days as a writing media. Lead pencils werefirst introduced in England in the middle of sixteenth century. The very first pencils consist of rods of puregraphite cut from the mine material. At that time graphite purification was not necessary. The modern methodsof manufacturing involves inserting of graphite rods between grooved woods. Now-a-days pencils are availablein the market in various standards. The soft and amorphous graphites are used in pencil making. The pencilmaking industry can be started on a small scale. The raw materials, plant and machinery are indigenouslyavailable.
