It’s a great opportunity to join an amazing group of volunteers, enjoy some time down south and be a part of a team making a difference in the community. It’s an experience you’ll remember, you’ll meet great people, give back to the community, support the leavers, create a safe place for leavers to celebrate in and come out the other end with a greater appreciation for the next generation!!

We need people of all ages, with all different skill sets – there’s a variety of areas you can be involved in ranging from dance tents, to greetings, first aid, rides, catering and so much more!

SportsFest is a sporting outreach event run by Baptist Churches Western Australia – with over 35 sports and activities for teams to participate in. It’s run over the long week-end in September and creates an amazing opportunity for our churches youth and young adults from all over WA to come together. We strongly encourage all churches to invite not only the youth and young adults from within their churches but from within their wider community! It’s a perfect time to meet others, learn new sports, create amazing memories and hear about Jesus!

Aaron is a former young adults pastor – who loves the local church, loves the depth of God’s love for his creation, and enjoys sharing this with other people.

He moved to Australia in 1988 and previously attended Lakeside Baptist Church. In university, he began truly discovering the depths of God and became open to God changing his life and handing all control over to Him. Since then, he’s been heavily involved in his local church, Life City, and became the young adults pastor for a period of time. He’s currently involved in the teaching and preaching team and now serves on the Board.

We’re very excited to have Aaron speak this year and look forward to having him at his first SportsFest!

SportsFest has gone back to the 90’s Stick around after Saturday Night Live for our 90’s inspired after party! Come dressed in your greatest 90’s outfits, ready to dance the night away to the greatest hits from the 90’s!
