second and third rows of seats. Unique: For a rearward facing seat-

ing arrangement, the individual seats in the second row of seats2)

can simply be rotated by 360 degrees in the blink of an eye no

for luggage or shopping, you can remove the individual seats and

The new generation of engines offers impressively low fuel con-

sumption with every unit and all without dampening driving

pleasure. As a result, a lower average consumption of 5.7 l/100 km1), 2)

with average CO2 emission of 149 g/km1), 2) is possible. Na turally,

the new TDI engines comply with the Euro 6 emission standard. The

2.0 l TDI engine with 150 kW is particularly powerful, while also

boasting low fuel consumption. Additional engines will be intro duced

Commendation serves to identify ecological progress for vehicles

and technologies in comparison with predecessor models or com-

parative models.

This is based on Life Cycle Assessments in accordance with ISO 14040

and ISO 14044, which are verified by independent experts in

the case of Volkswagen, by the technical inspection authority TV

NORD. The Life Cycle Assessment covers not only the vehicles pure

driving time, but also its entire life cycle from the raw materials

extraction and material production to the vehicle manufacturing

and usage phase, as well as recycling.

BlueMotion Technology makes a significant contribution to the

lower fuel consumption and emission value of the new Multivan,

and in doing so, sets a whole new standard for sustainable mo-

bility. For the new generation of TDI engines with Euro 6 emission

standard, BlueMotion Technology comes as standard. It includes:

regenerative braking, roll resistance-optimised tyres and start/

stop system.

Regenerative braking (not illustrated). This recharges the vehicle

battery during overrun and braking phases, thereby relieving strain

on the engine and reducing fuel consumption.

Roll resistance-optimised tyres (not illustrated). The new Multivan

makes contact with the road via tyres with optimised rolling re-

sistance. The low rolling resistance reduces fuel consumption, and

with it, CO2 emission.

BlueMotion Technology efficiency package (not illustrated). Op-

tremely user-friendly. The radio or navigation system, a mobile phone or the cruise control

can be controlled using the buttons. It features both a height and reach adjustment and

therefore allows the driver to sit comfortably, even on long journeys. Servotronic speed-

dependent power-assisted steering can be ordered as an option. It enhances handling

when manoeuvring and parking, and comfort when driving at higher speeds.

sunlight and screen them from view. They can be pulled out easily from the housing at

01 Loading sill protection. This synthetic loading sill protection

with a high-quality stainless steel look can be easily attached, pro-

tecting the bumper from scratches that may occur during loading

and unloading. This functional design element adds a sophisticated

touch to the Multivans loading sill and contributes to maintaining

02 Wind and rain deflector. When driving with the window

slightly open, the deflector effectively reduces spray and wind

noise. It also offers protection for when the sun shines from the

side. The deflectors shape is an exact match to the vehicle, and

03 Basic carrier. A lockable, city-crash-tested basic carrier made of anodised aluminium

profile bars is available for the new Multivan. It is designed for a load of up to 45 kg, and

04 Ski and snowboard holder. The lockable ski holder can be mounted to the basic carrier,

and allows you to transport up to six pairs of skis, four snowboards or one wakeboard.

The wide opening buttons and convenient pull-out function make loading and unloading

05 Roof box. The large boxes in Titanium Metallic are easy to secure thanks to the quick-

release fasteners on the basic carrier, and have a capacity of either 340 or 460 litres. The

DuoLift system enables the boxes to be opened from either side. Both boxes can be com-

09 G1 ISOFIX DUO child seat plus Top

Tether. This comfortable seat system offers

children from 8 months up to 4 years old

(or 9 to 18 kilograms) optimal support. The

individually adjustable seat position and

height-adjustable harness ensure that the

child is safely secured in the seat shell.

The seat is secured to the ISOFIX mounting

points and to an additional top tether an-

chor point on the rear bench seat.

08 G0 plus ISOFIX infant seat. This child

seat system offers newborn babies and in-

fants up to 15 months (or weighing up to

13 kg) a high level of comfort and optimum

protection. The seats frame, which is firmly

secured to the vehicle using the ISOFIX

mounting points, is a base for the portable

seat shell. The individual seat adjustments

and the height-adjustable 5-point harness

ensure that the infant is safely secured in

the seat shell. This seat system also has a

removable sunshade, an adjustable carrying

handle and a fabric cover that can easily

10 G2-3 ISOFIT child seat. This comfortable

child seat provides ideal support for chil-

dren between 3 and 12 years of age (15 to

36 kg). The special design of the seat sides

also assures the best possible protection.

The seat is attached using the vehicles

ISOFIX mounting points. Thanks to the indi-

vidual seat adjustments the child is opti-

mally protected with the vehicles 3-point

seat belt. The covers can easily be removed

06 Luggage net. The tear-resistant, elastic net is simply secured to the standard lashing

eyes in the luggage compartment using the integrated hooks. This ensures that small and

07 Luggage compartment liner. The light, flexible insert precisely fits the contours of the

Multivan. A raised rim of approx. 5 cm around the edge provides protection from moisture

and dirt. The diamond pattern on the liner has a non-slip effect. When not in use, the liner

Connect to integrate your smartphone via a USB port in your vehicle.

Car-Net App-Connect mirrors selected apps from your smartphone on

to the touch screen display of your optional radio or optional navigation

system. This enables you to conveniently control permitted apps and

special Volkswagen apps while driving via the touch screen display.

Volkswagen apps.

Special Volkswagen apps, such as Shared Audio, Drive & Track,

Call & Remind, Sound Journey and My Guide (see figure) make

every journey even more pleasant and interesting. The apps provide

you with information about your driving behaviour, as well as parking

possibilities in the vicinity, and make detailed suggestions about

exciting destinations nearby, taking into account the weather and ve-

hicle data.

Use Car-Net Guide & Inform to enhance your vehicle's optional navigation system with online-based, up-to-date information services for

greater convenience when travelling. For example, utilise real-time traffic information to avoid a sudden traffic jam. Or refuel at the cheapest

petrol station. Or find a free parking spot without the need for an infuriating search. Car-Net Guide & Inform ensures that you always reach

your destination quickly and with the least possible stress.
