We write on behalf of our Client, Roadstone Dublin Ltd. to formally advise that it has submitted an application to the Environmental Protection Agency for a waste recovery facility on its lands at Milverton, Skerries, Co. Dublin (National Grid Reference 3247E, 2592N).

The principal activity is Class 4 of the Fourth Schedule (recycling or reclamation of inorganic materials). Other activities include Class 2 of the Fourth Schedule (recycling or reclamation of organic substances which are not used as solvents) and Class 13 of the Fourth Schedule (temporary storage pending recycling or reclamation).

An Environmental Impact Statement will be submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency with the Waste Licence Application. A copy of

(i) the Waste Licence Application, (ii) the Environmental Impact Statement and (iii) further information relating to the application that may be furnished to the Agency

in the course of its consideration of the licence application

will, as soon as practicable after receipt by the Agency, be available for inspection or purchase at the headquarters of the Agency.

This letter constitutes formal written notice of the Waste Licence Application as required by Section 9(1) of the Waste Management (licensing) Regulations 2004 (S.1. No. 395 of 2004).

SITE NOTICE

APPLICATION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR A WASTE LICENCE

ROADSTONE DUBLIN LTD., Fortunestown, Tallaght, Dublin 24 intends to apply to the Environmental Protection Agency for a waste licence in respect of a waste recovery facility on its lands at Milverton, Skerries, Co. Dublin (National Grid Reference 3247E 2592N). The waste licence application provides for

(i) Use of approximately 1,900,000 tonnes of inert natural materials, principally excess soil, stones and/or broken rock to backfill a large existing void created by rock extraction;

(ii) Separation of any non-inert construction and demolition waste unintentionally imported to site prior to removal off-site to appropriately licensed waste disposal or recovery facilities

(iii) Temporary stockpiling of topsoil and subsoil pending re-use in restoration of the site

(iv) Restoration of the backfilled void (including placement of cover soils and seeding) and return to use as agricultural grassland

(v) Environmental monitoring of noise, dust, surface water and groundwater for the duration of the site restoration works.
