CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory (BCO) is Ireland's space for science and a landmark location where research, learning and fun combine to celebrate knowledge and innovation.
Since opening our doors in 2007, we have welcomed more than 120,000 visitors to Cosmos at the Castle, our internationally respected interactive science centre and Ireland's most successful science attraction.
The research work we do at BCO provides a vibrant link to industry, growing Ireland's competitive position and attracting research, employment and vital European Space Agency funding to the Republic.
Our active education outreach programme reaches thousands of students every year, bringing science education to classrooms, fairs and ongoing teacher education.
