Scholarship has been established. (To donate to the fund, send checks to Fr. Mark made out to “St. Elizabeth Ann Seton”). For more information about enrolling in Holy Cross H.S. or contributing to the Cox Scholarship, contact Fr. Mark at (432) 202-0336.

APRIL 2020 TOUR OF ITALY Fr. Mark is organizing an 11-day tour of Italy for late April 2020. We will visit Rome [papal audience], Assisi, Florence, Sorrento, Amalfi and Livorno. Masses daily. Why the sea coast city of Livorno? In Livorno we will follow the footsteps of Elizabeth Seton, an Episcopalian who visited that city in 1803/4. Her husband William Seton died tragically in Livorno. There she first encountered Roman Catholicism. At first she was amused by her Italian Catholic friends’ efforts to make her Catholic, but when she left Livorno for her native New York City several months later, she was determined to become a Catholic … a path that led her to sainthood. Trip will cost $4-5,000 per person. If interested, contact Fr. Mark at 432-202-0336.

NOTRE DAME FIRE With the news of the devastating fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris yesterday, people have begun asking how they can help. Unfortunately, people's generosity is also an easy target for the bad guys. There are also already reports of scams making their way around the internet as people try to take advantage of this surge of generosity. For those who do feel compelled to donate to the renovation of Notre-Dame de Paris, the Archdiocese of Paris has provided the following instructions:

It is possible to make a donation for the renovation of Notre-Dame de Paris: By check payable to "Fonds Notre-Dame de

Paris". Send To: Fondation Avenir du Patrimoine in Paris - 10 rue Cloître Notre-Dame - 75004 Paris By credit card on the page of the Fondation

Avenir du Patrimoine in Paris . By transfer by contacting 01 78 91 91 16 or

[email protected] If you hear of anyone considering sending

money to any other source, you might encourage them to redirect their funds to the Archdiocese of Paris. More information can be found on the archdiocese's page devoted to the fire: https://www.paris.catholique.fr/-incendie-de-notre-dame-de-paris-5701-.html.
