BONUS ATTENDANCE
However we understand that there may be some unforeseencircumstances, and to account for this we shall consider yourattendance for the immediate last two terms (sum of theaggregate bonus attendance percentage of immediate last
two terms) and allow bonus percentage in a term .
If a student is in his first term, bonus attendance will becalculated on Double the attendance either before MTE or
after MTE, which ever is higher. This facility only enables youto appear in the examination. It does not facilitate in gainingany extra marks.

Eexample : bonus calculationfor a freshman
If aggregate attendance at the end of Term I is 65%
Agg. attendance before was MTE 50% Agg. attendance after was MTE 80% Bonus = 2 x 10= 20%
Final aggregate attendance shall be 65+20 = 85%
This student is eligible to appear in the ETE of all courses but
will NOT get any marks for attendance in any course i.e onelooses 5% marks in each course.

PASS GRADE ANDPASSING CRITERIA
To obtain Pass Grade (A+, A, B, B-, C, C- and D) in acourse, a student must obtain minimum 35% marks inthe course as a whole (Attendance + CA + MTE + ETE)subject to
Scoring minimum 30% marks in ETE
or Scoring minimum 30% in ETE and MTE together.

RE-APPEAR GRADE E ANDREAPPEAR EXAM
In case student is not able to meet the passing condition, E grade will beawarded.
To clear E grade courses, a student will have the following options: Option- I : Appear for RE-APPEAR Exam
(if student wants to retain the CA) OR
Option II: RE-REGISTER the course as a backlog course
(if student wants to improve the CA)
The weightage of the re-appear exam will be equal to weightage of MTE + ETE
for that course. The student may apply for re-appearing in the immediate NEXT THREE
reappear examinations held after the term in which the student has registered
the course in which E grade was awarded.
If one is still not able to pass, E grade gets converted to F grade.

FAIL GRADE F F grade will be awarded in only three cases:
Case I : Student does not satisfy the attendance requirement for being
eligible to appear in the End Term examination.
or
Case II : Student has availed all the chances for re-appearing in ETE forclearing E grade in a course.
or
- Case III : F grade awarded by the Unfair Means Case (UMC)
Board .
To clear F grade student has to re-register the course and attend classes andappear for all components of evaluation (CA, MTE and ETE).

IMPROVEMENT EXAMINATION
In case a student after obtaining the Pass Grade, wants toimprove his result, he will have two options:
Option 1: Reappear for the courseIn this case the best grade shallprevail
Option2: Re-register the course
The Best Grade will prevail.

term. Gn is the grade point earned in the nth course , and the
summation extends over all the courses in which grades areobtained.

PROMOTION TO NEXT YEAR
A student will be promoted to the next year of a programme, if he satisfies the following conditions:
After First Year: He has passed at least 40% of the Courses
prescribed in the 1st year After Second Year: He has passed at least 50% of the Courses
prescribed in first two years i.e. 1st and 2nd year takentogether
After Third Year: He has passed at least 60 % of the Coursesprescribed in first three years i.e. 1st , 2nd and 3rd yeartaken together.

PROMOTION CRITERIA IN DUALDEGREE / INTEGRATED PROGRAMMES
The promotion of a student to higher qualification(degree/diploma/certificate) is subject to satisfying thefollowing condition:
The student till date has scored a minimum CGPA of 5for grade based programmes or a minimum 45% marksfor marks based programmes.
