UrbanVirons provides a broad and diverse range of services throughout urban, regional and remote areas of South Australia. We control hundreds of kilometres of roadside weed vegetation and open area maintenance in urban and regional areas.

We are committed to the wellbeing of communities and that is why UrbanVirons prefers to employ local skilled people in urban and regional areas; including the creation of jobs for young aspiring people via Traineeships and Apprenticeships.

The threat of Bush Fires’ unfortunately is prevalent in our community and UrbanVirons offers proactive measures in ‘fuel reduction work’ to reduce the risk of properties being vulnerable and susceptible to fire danger.

Procurement

Due to UrbanVirons’ diverse services and multiple divisions within our group; we have exceptional relationships with key suppliers and access to a large variety of reputable providers and other supply chains. Our procurement team will lock in and negotiate best buy rates to protect project outcomes and avoid price fluctuations where possible.

UrbanVirons has local and national procurement options available at our disposal and our supply base is carefully selected and monitored to uphold our internal quality standards and processes.

Our team

Our team consists of multiple crews of horticulturists, arborists, landscapers, gardeners, maintenance workers and tradesman, all supported by an experienced and dedicated senior management team.

We give our clients the comfort and reassurance of dealing with one identity from the start of their project to the completion. Our project and operational staff provide a comprehensive service to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard, on time and on budget!

Environment & recycling

Everything we do is focused on caring for our environment. If there is a better way that we can achieve results, by using fewer resources or by delivering our services in a more environmentally friendly way, we will endeavour to explore the best option. We have a reputation as a true environmental and carbon friendly company.

In-house expenditure on R&D over the years has led to innovation and modifications to equipment and systems that are safer from a WHS and environmental perspective. An example of our continual quest to care for our environment is the use of Organic Steam Weeder technology. This gives our clients an opportunity to select an environmentally friendly alternative other than, the use of chemicals to kill weeds.

UrbanVirons’ Environmental Committee strives to maintain and update environmental procedures. Continual improvement is vital in managing our impact on the environment.

Some examples of initiatives we have undertaken include the installation of solar panels and the recycling of mulch from our tree works.

We are a low risk service provider. UrbanVirons are committed to the ongoing safety and wellbeing of our employees, subcontractors, clients and visitors. Demonstrating social responsibility and being proactive in providing the necessary training to eliminate the dangers of our workplace is paramount.

Our WHS ‘standard’ practices are constantly being scrutinised by our WHS Committee in the pursuit of safety excellence and in a display of zero tolerance to safety breaches.
