Thank you to Joe Robinson
As WAHS are no longer going to be the landlords of Warren Close,
the requirement for a Tenants Representative has come to an end.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Joe Robinson for his
invaluable contribution over the last few years.
Thank you for the return of your Application Forms
Thank you to everyone for returning your Application Forms.
They have all been received and forwarded to Housing

coach with over 20 years experience of working with individuals and
companies in reaching their goals and achieving true excellence. She is
a recognised Licentiate Fellow of the Institute of Training and
Occupational Learning.
Maureen has a real passion to see people develop and achieve and has
been privileged to offer highly effective workshops and coaching within
many business sectors. By bringing practical ideas, techniques that
work, whilst promoting highly interactive learning and personal
development, Maureen has provided a successful combination that has
been welcomed by many organisations.
As an experienced facilitator Maureen has been able to help many
organisations move forward, both through corporate training, individual
coaching work and strategic planning.
Maureen has a wealth of experience to bring to her new role as Chair of
WAHS, including a strong track record of other volunteer roles in the
community. She is looking forward to assisting WAHS in shaping their
new future direction, whilst anticipating the completion of the current
major project at Warren Close.
Site Visit by Maureen Atkins
On Friday 23rd October Maureen was able to
visit the building site at Warren Close and
has written about the visit.
I was shown around by Feltham’s Site
Project Manager, John, and Chris Martin
from Housing Solutions. Both men couldn’t
have been more helpful, and I believe we
have found great partners with which to
work.
There are several stages in the buildings

now; some have floors but no walls, some have the
metal work in place for the stud walls, others have
walls and are newly plastered. It really is a hive of
activity, helped along by some good dry Autumn
weather!
The layout is great and each flat has its own unique
outlook. Some of the views, particularly from the
upstairs flats, are stunning – hugely helped along by
the riot of autumn colours in the trees and
hedgerows.
The rooms inside the flats are spacious and light, and that is before
any painting has been undertaken. The kitchen units will be cream
and the granite effect worktops are white, which will all add to the
bright, airiness of the homes.
In the ground floor flats they are starting to create the shower wet
rooms, designed for easy access and all on one level – no shower
tray to step into! The wet rooms are a good size and will make
personal care a pleasure.
There is still much to be done
before the flats will be habitable,
but I trust these pictures will
serve to show you the great
progress that is being made.

Thank you Jean!
We would like to say a big thank you to Jean
Auty for spending the last 5 years being Chair of
WAHS and steering us through the new
development. Jean has stepped down as Chair

Residents Group (previously known as the
Tenants Committee).
Communal Room Update
Our planning application for the Communal Room (App 152588) has been accepted as a valid submission by Wokingham Borough Council. We are hoping for a positive decision to be made by the end of December. This application needs your support and we would like to ask if you would be prepared to write a letter to the Council supporting this proposed project. Your letter would need to quote the Application Reference: 152588, and should state your support for the provision of this Communal Room, and the benefits you would gain from having such a facility. Please address your letter to:
