DESCRIPTION
BWT is a liquid compound. It contains
a combination of alkaline mineral
salts, sequestering agents, sludge
conditioners, scale and corrosion
inhibitors.
APPLICATIONS
BWT is suitable for use with all
auxiliary boilers including waste heat,
and exhaust gas boilers. BWT prevents
scale formation and inhibits
corrosion. It also conditions sludge so
it can be removed by blow-down.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For optimum results, BWT should be
dosed directly into the boiler via a
by-pass pot feeder installed in the
boiler feed line. For low-pressure
boilers without by-pass feeder, the
product may be dosed into the hot
well. Regular blow-down is necessary
to remove sludge and solids.
INITIAL DOSAGE
Initial dose for untreated system is 1
lt. of BWT per 1000 lt. water.
Maintenance dosages are determined
by the result of P-alkalinity. Analysis
is carried out using a BWT test set.
NOTE: The phosphate and alkalinity
values if analyzed, may not necessarily
correspond to the control levels. In cases of
poor quality feed water used, increased
dosages may be required. If the P alkalinity
is persistently low, use ALKAL CONTROLLER to
adjust. The pH of the boiler water should be
kept between 10 - 12.

DESCRIPTION
OXYGEN CONTROL is used as a oxygen
scavenger in boiler water treatment,
reacting with oxygen to form inert
sodium sulfate. The catalyst ensured
rapid reaction times, so that
complete oxygen removal is achieved.
Rapid oxygen removal means minimal
corrosion and extended boiler life..
OXYGEN CONTROL may also be used for
the removal of chlorine: 4 ml. of
OXYGEN CONTROL removes 1 gr. of free
chlorine.
PRODUCT DOSAGE AND CONTROL
OXYGEN CONTROL is a slightly acid
liquid and thus must NOT be mixed
with any alkaline treatment, when
dosing the feed system. Mixing with
alkaline treatments will cause
precipitation of the catalyst.
OXYGEN CONTROL can be fed neat or
diluted with water. Dilution should
not exceed 30 times and must be
used immediately. Application by
dosing pump into the feed system is
ideal, but adding by dosing pot or
alternative means to the feed system
or direct to the boiler is acceptable.
Adding at deaereator outlet on feed
pump suction, to give optimal
protection to as much of the system
as possible is recommended.
OXYGEN CONTROL should be dosed at a
rate of 90 ml. / ton if liquid, at 45 gr.
/ ton if powder. This is the dosage
required to maintain the desired 20 -
30 mg. / lt. of sodium bisulfite in the
boiler. Note: Where boilers are left
idle for any length of time, a reserve
of 100 - 200 PPM (mg. / lt.) sodium
sulfite should be maintained in water
to protect against corrosion. The

DESCRIPTION
BOILER SLUDGE is a synthetic organic
polymer of high molecular weight in a
viscous aqueous solution. It has an added
anti-foam agent and can be diluted with
water to any required concentrations.
APPLICATIONS
BOILER SLUDGE is used to prevent formation
of adherent deposits and sticky sludge in
boilers. The deposits and sludge are then
removed by normal blow-down.
BOILER SLUDGE can also be used in the
event of an oil contamination. The oil will be
coagulated for removal by blow-down.
However, if the oil contamination is
excessive and continuous, the source of
contamination must be stopped immediately
and off-line cleaning is necessary to restore
normal operation of the boiler.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For optimum results, BOILER SLUDGE should
be dosed directly into the boiler via a by-
pass pot feeder installed in the boiler feed
line. Otherwise it can be dosed into the hot
well. An initial dose of 250 ml / ton of boiler
water is recommended. For maintenance
dose, this quantity can be reduced or

These materials are unnecessary in
the treated system. It can cause
undesirable deposits if not removed.
D.C.W.T. should be added to the
system at a point where the
circulation is high. Do not add to
expansion tank if there is little or no
circulation. Systems contaminated
with oil and/or scale should be
cleaned before applying D.C.W.T.
treatment. Use SEA CLEAN for
degreasing and DESCAL LIQUID for
descaling operation.

SEA WATER
TREATMENT
23
APPLICATIONSBIOGUARD gives complete protection against corrosion and fouling by marine growth such as algae, moss, shellfish and microorganisms in seawater cooling systems. It is also used as an effective biocide to treat diesel engine cooling water systems against microorganisms and bacteria.
DIRECTIONS FOR USEIt is essential that systems are completely free from marine growth before treatment with BIOGUARD. Therefore where necessary, clean the systems with DESCAL LIQUID .
SEAWATER COOLING SYSTEMSBIOGUARD should be injected into the sea chests with a dosing equipment, once every two days for one hour, according to the flow rate of seawater in each particular system. When vessel is in harbor, or in prolific zones of shellfish, the frequency of treatment should be increased to once every other day. 3 PPM of BIOGUARD is sufficient to prevent fouling. To achieve this dose rate 0.3 lt. of product is required for every 100 ton per hr. of seawater flowing through the system.
FRESH WATER COOLING WATERBIOGUARD is also a recommended biocide to be used in conjunction with D.C.W.T. NON-CHROMATE in case of contamination of microorganisms in the fresh water cooling system. It is effective over a broad pH range and gives a wider spectrum of protection against micro-organisms in marine diesel engine cooling system. In this case, 100 PPM of BIOGUARD or 1Ltr for 10 tons of water, added on a weekly

APPLICATIONS
FUEL OIL IMPROVER acts as a
combustion improver, carbon
catalyst, ash modifier and smoke
suppressant for diesel engines
burning heavy fuel oils and boilers.
PRODUCT DOSAGE
Dosage point location varies
depending on engine/boiler fuel
system layout. The most efficient and
economical method is obtained with a
metering pump, dosing the additive
into the suction side of the booster
pump (for diesel engines) or into the
burner feed line (for boilers).
Alternatively the additive may be
dosed directly to the day tank prior
to refilling or directly the additive
may be dosed directly to the bankers
tanks.
Dosage rates depend on engine
characteristics, operating conditions
and quality of fuel oil.
A CCAI (Calculated Carbon Aromaticity
Index) number exceeding 840
indicates a poor fuel quality, which
justifies the use of a chemical fuel oil
treatment to counteract the effects
hereof. Typical dosage rate varies
between 1 to 2 lt. for every 2000 lt. of
fuel oil may be necessary.
As a general guide, initial dosage
recommendation is 1ltr of FUEL OIL
IMPROVER for 4000 lt. of heavy fuel
oil.

DESCRIPTION
VANASOLVENT is a liquid compound
that contains chemicals proven
effective in reducing harmful effects
of vanadium oxides and sodium salts
in diesel engines. Adding
VANASOLVENT to bunker fuel forms a
complex that de-activates the
vanadium and sodium common in
heavy bunker fuels. The melting point
of vanadium pentoxide is 675°C and
sodium sulfate is 880°C. When
VANASOLVENT is employed, the
complexes formed with vanadium and
sodium sulfate by the agents in
VANASOLVENT melt at about 1100°C.
APPLICATIONS
VANASOLVENT is used both in steam
and motor vessels burning heavy fuel
oils to improve combustion efficiency,
reduce corrosion, disperse sludge and
separate water. It is primarily
formulated for use in diesel engines
to prevent valves failure.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
VANASOLVENT is introduced manually
into the fuel tanks prior or during
bunkering. The fuel movement on
entering the tank will blend the
product completely with the fuel. The
product can also be dosed
automatically into the fuel oil service
line, prior to the service pump by
means of a metering pump.
PRODUCT DOSAGE
Dosage requirements depend on the
nature and amount of impurities, but
typical dosage rate is 1 lt. of
VANASOLVENT per 4 tons of fuel oil,
considering a normal vanadium of 100
PPM. To establish a more accurate
and cost efficient dosage rate, it

DESCRIPTION:
BENEFITS:
Saves you cleaning time by reducing
soot and slag deposit. Reduces cold
end corrosion by neutralizing sulfuric
acid deposits on surfaces where the
temperature is lower than the dew
point of the exhaust gas. Saves you
money by improving heat transfer
and boiler efficiency due to reduction
in deposits. Helps to keep exhaust gas
system clean while slow steaming and
will also reduce cold end corrosion. If
firescale is allowed to form on heat
exchangers, the loss of efficiency can
be directly related to extra fuel
consumption. A 1 mm deposit is
approximately equivalent to a 10%
efficiency loss, a 3 mm deposit can
reduce efficiency by up to 50%.
SOOT CLEANER
Soot Cleaner is formulated for
effective prevention of soot and
firescale deposits from boilers and
diesel engine exhaust systems. For
the prevention of soot and firescale
deposits in diesel engine and boiler
exhaust systems. For reduction of
cold-end corrosion where surface
temperatures are lower than the dew
point of the exhaust gases. Aids soot
blowing The normal ignition
temperature of soot is around 600°C.
This means that it is burned only in
the hottest parts of the boiler or
diesel exhaust systems. Due to the
catalytic action of SOOT CLEANER, the
ignition temperature of the
soot/firescale is reduced down to
200°C. The carbon deposits are thus
ignited, leaving an easily removable
ash.

ALKACLEAN HD (POTASSIUM BASED) is
used for removal of vegetable and
animal oil residues in cargo tanks. It is
also used as a final treatment for
cleaning tanks from black to white or
grain. ALKACLEAN HD is suitable for use
on ferrous metals, including stainless
steel and epoxy tank coatings.
ALKACLEAN HD is used for cleaning boiler
furnace and as a neutralizing agent.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
TANK CLEANING
Tank cleaning should, if possible, be
carried out immediately after discharge
of cargo. ALKACLEAN HD should be
applied with water at a temperature
above 60°C if possible. The cleaning
should be done by circulation using tank
cleaning machine, spray equipment or
injected into the steam.
QUICK DRYING OILS
Use a 3% to 5% solution of ALKACLEAN HD
with fresh water.
SEMI-DRYING OILS
Use a 5% solution of ALKACLEAN HD with
fresh water.NOTE: fresh water solutions are recommended. If
seawater solution is used, it is recommended that
dosage amount be increased by 1.5 times the amount
required for fresh water solutions.
BOILER FURNACE CLEANING
Use a 10% to 20% solution of ALKACLEAN
HD with fresh water. A hot solution of
more than 40°C is preferable as
treatment is more effective when
heated. Apply solution to surfaces to be
cleaned by spraying. Depending on the
nature, age and state of the deposits,
repeat spraying as necessary. For
deposits, which are very hard to remove
a solution of up to 50% can be used.

DESCRIPTION
SLUDGE RECONDITION is a synthetic
organic polymer of high molecular
weight in a viscous aqueous solution. It
has an added anti-foam agent and can
be diluted with water to any required
concentrations.
APPLICATIONS
SLUDGE RECONDITION is used to prevent
formation of adherent deposits and
sticky sludge in boilers. The deposits and
sludge are then removed by normal
blow-down.
SLUDGE RECONDITION can also be used in
the event of an oil contamination. The
oil will be coagulated for removal by
blow-down. However, if the oil
contamination is excessive and
continuous, the source of contamination
must be stopped immediately and off-
line cleaning is necessary to restore
normal operation of the boiler.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For optimum results, SLUDGE
RECONDITION should be dosed directly
into the boiler via a by-pass pot feeder
installed in the boiler feed line.
Otherwise it can be dosed into the hot
well. An initial dose of 250 ml / ton of
boiler water is recommended. For
maintenance dose, this quantity can be
reduced or increased.

TANK COAT is a revolutionary bituminous
highly viscous product, engineered to
satisfy extremely demanding conditions.
It is formulated with specific wetting
agents, special ineert additive
compounds and advanced surface–active
agents that form together to create, an
adherent protective, homogeneous and
elastic elastic dense layer, that will
protect all metal surfaces and spaces
such as ballast tanks, bulk holds, dry
holds, decks, docks, etc, against
corrosion.
A. DOSING PROCEDURE
TANK COAT is applied in quantities
proportional to the surface area to be
covered, and should be diluted with
8–12% water.
Note that 1 liter of TANK COAT can cover an
area of approximately 2–3m2 at a layer
thickness of 220 microns. However, in cases
where the surface to be treated is new build
then the quantity to use is smaller than for
high pitting surfaces.
B. PREPARATION
TANK COAT must be applied to a clean,
dry surface, free of rust and any loose
particles.
Therefore the following steps must be
taken:
1. Initially, remove loose rust scales
and rust blisters either by a
high–pressure water supply and/or by
water/sand blasting, for heavy
accumulation mulation, use a
high–pressure machine.
2. Apply under pressure, a RUST SHIELD
solutiontion with water at a ratio of
1:2, by use of spraying equipment.
3. Leave solution to act for 15 minutes
and then wash thoroughly with a high
pressure water source.
4. Let surface dry completely before
applying the TANK COAT. To assist
with quicker drying, use a hot air fan.

DESCRIPTION
Coat Barrier is a water based liquid
product specially formulated to leave
a thin, temporary film on cargo hold
surfaces. The film provides a barrier
between the cargo and the cargo hold
surfaces making the cleaning
operation after unloading quicker and
easier, and optimal cleaning result is
achieved. is safe to the environment
and to the personnel handling it, and
will not contaminant the cargo. It is
non-corrosive and safe on all
coatings.
APPLICATIONS
After drying, creates a thin, non-
sticky film on the cargo hold
surfaces. The film substantially
facilitates the cleaning before next
cargo in two ways:
1. The film fills the minute pores in
the surface, and prevents that small
particles are trapped in the pores.
2. Small, solid particles can be very
difficult to remove especially from
organic coatings, even with the use of
effective cleaning agents and high
pressure water jets. The reason is the
build-up of electromagnetic forces,
and sometimes the only way to
remove the particles is by scrubbing.
Coat Barrier provides a barrier
between the particles and the surface
that minimize this problem, and the
particles may now be removed with
high pressure water only. The film is
completely water soluble and is easy
to remove even with cold sea water.
To avoid re-deposition of
contaminants a cleaning agent should
be used, but at lower dosage rates
than what normally is required. Coat
Barrier may also be sprayed on deck,
superstructure and other areas

APPLICATIONS
O.S.D. is used to disperse and clear
accidental oil spills on deck and in the
sea.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
OIL SPILL ON WATER
Where possible contain any floating
spilled oil, using oil booms. If the oil
layer is too thick, pump or skim off as
much as possible. When most of the
spilled oil has been removed or the
spilled oil cannot be contained, apply
O.S.D. undiluted. For small spills, spray
O.S.D. using a portable hand spray. Allow
the product to react with the oil, then
disperse the mixture using water from
fire hose or other mechanical means.
For large spills, use spraying equipment
connected to the side of a motor boat.
Ensuring the spray is directed over the
spill. Spraying can also be done from
aircraft fitted with spraying equipment.
OIL SPILL ON DECKS AND BEACHES
Remove as much spilled oil as possible
with an oil absorbent. Spray undiluted
O.S.D. over the spill and allow the
product to react with the oil. Disperse
the mixture with water from a fire hose.
For spills on beaches and on rocks the
mixture will be dispersed by natural
tidal wash action.
PRODUCT DOSAGE
The quantity of O.S.D. used largely
depends upon the type and quantity of
oil.
Crude oil - thin layer: 1 volume O.S.D. to
10 volumes of oil
Heavy hydrocarbon oil - thick oil: 1
volume O.S.D. to 4 volumes of oil

APPLICATIONS
DEGREASER HD is a general oil and grease remover for deck and engine room. Most suitable for removal of oil and grease from machinery parts, tank tops, bulkheads, decks and floor plates. DEGREASER HD is also used for cleaning of cargo tanks, bunker tanks and for spot cleaning.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
DEGREASER HD is applied by soaking, spraying or combined with scrubbing.
SOAKING
Dip parts to be cleaned into bath of undiluted DEGREASER HD Allow deposit to breaks up and loosen. Then rinse off with water (chemical cleaning module can be utilized for this application, allowing re-circulation of the product). A higher temperature of the solution (up to 60°C) always increases the cleaning power of the product.
SPRAYING / CLEANING OF TANKS
Apply DEGREASER HD neat and allow product to penetrate into deposits for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing off with water. For stubborn deposits some brushing may be necessary to accelerate removal. Before spraying a prewash with hot water of approx. 60°C is always helpful.
For tanks: before cleaning with DEGREASER HD prewash with hot water of approx. 60ºC, except for drying and semidrying oils. Then spray with undiluted DEGREASER HD and let the product soak for at least 30 minutes. Rinse each tank for approx. 45 minutes with hot water at 60ºC.
SCRUBBING
Use DEGREASER HD undiluted, agitate by scrubbing where soiling is not recent, is thick and/or trodden in. Rinse off with water.
CLEANING OF COOLING SYSTEMS
Fill the cooling system with an emulsion of DEGREASER HD and water, Depending on the degree of contamination, 100 lt. of cleaning liquid should contain 5-10 lt. of DEGRESANT HD Allow this emulsion to

APPLICATIONS
DESCAL LIQUID is suitable for removal of hardness scale and/or iron oxides from boilers, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers, cooling systems etc. It must not be used on zinc, aluminum, galvanized materials, cast iron and stainless steel.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Descaling can be accomplished by circulation. For large components and systems, use in-situ soaking. For small components soak in immersion bath. The most effective method is by circulation as it ensures renewal of acid film in contact with the scale.
CIRCULATION METHOD
If deposits to be removed are covered with oil or grease, a degreasing treatment with a solution of 2% to 8% of ALKACLEAN, CARBON REMOVER, SEACLEAN with water should be carried out prior to descaling. Circulate solution for 4 to 6 hours with a temperature of 60°C. After degreasing, start descaling treatment with a solution of 10% to 20% DESCAL LIQUID with water. The solution should be circulated for 24 to 36 hours for hardness scale, and 1 to 4 hours for iron oxide scale, depending on nature and state of the deposits. Ensure circuit is vented at the highest point to release gases produced during the descaling treatment. Cleaning solution may be heated to increase the descaling process rate. Do not exceed 40°C as chlorine gas may be liberated above this temperature. Check the acid concentration of the solution regularly. If it drops to less than 1/2 initial concentration, regenerate the solution by adding more DESCAL LIQUID . Determination of the acid concentration may be found using an ACIDITY TEST KIT The progress of operation may be followed by placing scale samples in easily observed positions, When the samples are completely dissolved and effervescence has stopped, circulate for one more hour then drain system thoroughly. Rinse thoroughly with water then drain. To neutralize any

APPLICATIONSDESCAL POWDER is suitable for removing water scale and rust in diesel engine cooling water systems, boilers, evaporators, condensers etc.
DIRECTIONS FOR USEDescaling can be accomplished by circulation, for large components and systems, by in-situ soaking, or by soaking in an immersion bath for small components. The most effective method is by circulation as it ensures renewal of acid film in contact with the scale.
CIRCULATION METHODIf the deposits to be removed are covered with oil or grease, a degreasing treatment with a solution of 2% to 8% ALKACLEAN, CARBON REMOVER or SEACLEAN with water should be carried out prior to descaling. Circulate the solution for 4 to 6 hours. To accelerate the cleaning process the solution should be heated up to a temperature of 60°C. After degreasing, a descaling treatment with a solution of 5% to 10% by weight of DESCAL POWDER with water should be circulated for 24 to 36 hours for hardness scale, and 1 to 4 hours for derusting, depending on nature and state of deposits. To avoid saturating the solution, do not exceed solution strength of 10%. Ensure circuit is vented at the highest point to release gasses produced during descaling operations. Product solution may be heated to increase the descaling process rate up to a maximum of 60°C. Over 35°C slight corrosion may occur on light alloys and galvanized surfaces . Check the acid concentration of the solution regularly by observing its state and color. The initial color is pink and if the color turns yellow the effectiveness disappears. Regenerate the solution by adding more DESCAL POWDER until solution regains initial color. To avoid the possibility of a saturated solution, no more than 2 regenerations should be made. If further treatment is necessary the circuit should be drained and a fresh

DESCRIPTIONAIR COOLER WASHER (ACW) is a liquid blend of highly active cleaning compounds and corrosion inhibitors. ACW has been developed for safe, fast and economical in-service cleaning of the air handling systems of turbo charged diesel engines. By using ACW, airborne contaminants that have been carried into and deposited on scavenger air trunks, air coolers and inlet valves are removed. Thus, all surfaces are kept clean and free ofdeposits.
ADVANTAGES1. By using ACW and the ACW INJECTION SYSTEM, fouling of air coolers is reduced so heat transfer and engine efficiency are improved. Pressure drops across the air cooler and air temperature after the air cooler are keptto a minimum. 2. Fire hazards from the build-up of grease and residue are minimized.3. Down time and expense of periodic dismantling of the air handling system for cleaning is eliminated. 4. Scavenging efficiency is improved by the reduction of deposit build-up around scavenging ports. 5. Water displacing surfactants incorporated in ACW form a mono-molecular film throughout the air handling system that protects the metal and reduces the adherence of airborne contaminants.
USAGEACW is suitable for all types of diesel engines. The ACW / fresh water mixture has no flash point and cylinder lubrication is not impaired.
DOSAGEThe following table shows our recommendation for initial dosage per air cooler. This is based on one injection every 24 hours. This can be varied based on performance of the pressure drops across the air coolers.

IMMERSION METHOD
(generally ACW is used undiluted)
The dismantled parts to be cleaned are laid in a tank specially designed for the purpose, which has been filled with undiluted ACW. Movement is achieved by means of compressed air. Wash surface with high-pressure water hose or compressed air. ACW can be reused f o r se ve ra l cleanings. Cleaning time: 5-12 hours.
CIRCULATION METHOD
(for in-place cleaning - generally ACW is used undiluted) See Diagram B
1. Arrange to collect ACW at bottom of unit with drain back to drum.
2. Circulate by pump and/or spray (airless spray or steady low-pressure flow - do not atomize) on deposits through access doors. A perforated pipe placed between tubes is effective for reaching normally inaccessible tubes.
3. Thoroughly saturate deposits and allow to stand for one hour minimum.
4. Wash off with high-pressure water hose and drain to collecting tank.
5. Dry with compressed air.
CLEANING FUEL OIL HEATERS OR LUBE OIL COOLERS -See Diagram C
For best results ACW should be circulated through the heat exchange unit for 6 to 8 hours, depending on the amount of deposits present and the length of time since the last cleaning. When ACW is used as a preventive maintenance item periodically, circulating times can be substantially reduced.
ACW solution can be saved and reused until it becomes thoroughly contaminated. Flushing unit with kerosene before using ACW will prevent excessive dilution. During cleaning, solids may accumulate in reservoir drum. These solids may be removed by allowing the solution to settle and decanting clean liquid from the top. When cleaning action of ACW has been reduced by excessive dilution with fuel oil, the material can then be dumped into the bunker tanks and then burned.
52
For circulating ACW a pump with a large discharge volume should be used in order to insure rapid flow through the unit. A 50 or a 200 liters drum fitted with a wooden cover containing an opening for the discharge pipe can be used as a reservoir. Use enough ACW to fill the unit, piping and enough additional material to keep the reservoir one third full. Take pump suction from the reservoir and discharge into the lowest connection on the heat exchanger. Pipe the overflow from the highest point on the heat exchanger back into the reservoir. A fine mesh screen should be adapted to the reservoir return to remove large pieces, which become dislodged during the cleaning operation. To avoid the dislodging of loosened particles, a method of backflushing can be used as indicated in schematic drawing showing recommended hood-ups for use of .
INJECTION METHOD USING ACW (DAILY) UNDERWAYDilute with water as per dosage diagram. See diagram ATo inject ACW use an INJECTION SYSTEM as those fabricated by VECOM.This system consists of a steel 6 liter dosage tank, complete with all necessary valves, an atomizer and required fittings for 6x8 mm copper tubing. The dosage tank may be installed in any appropriate place in the engine room. Copper tubing (6x8 mm) is fitted from the dosage tank to the atomizer, from the dosage tank to the casing on the pressure side of the turbo blower (equalizing line), and from the ships’ compressed air system to the atomizer.
By m eans of the INJECTION SYSTEM a mixture of ACC and fresh water in a ratio of 1:3 (observe the mixture ratio exactly) is injected into the air channel between the turbo blower and the air cooler. This is followed by a second injection of fresh water only. Injection procedure as per the ACW injection system diagram is as follows:
53
INSTALLATION DRAWINGSThese installation drawings are only a guide for typical installations. Air trunking dimensions, configuration and baffles arrangement may differ between engines of the same model. Physical inspection is necessary to ensure that nozzles are correctly sited and installed. DESCRIPTIONALCACTIVE LIQUID is a water based liquid solution, containing specific salts, detergents, wetting agents and corrosion inhibitors.
APPLICATIONALCACTIVE LIQUID is formulated to attack and remove vegetable and animal fats and oils from epoxy coatings and from most of the common ferrous alloy metals. Moreover, it can safely be applied on Tin, Zinc and/ or Zinc Silicate, Aluminum and galvanized surface coatings and materials. Also ideal to use for “Gas–Free” when sprayed after any hydrocarbon cleaning process as it discharges an additional pleasant fresh aroma.
DIRECTION FOR USE
A. Dosing ProcedureRock and Roll method: Add 15–20
litres of ALCACTIVE LIQUID for every ton of water at the point where the tank is filled to 30% of its capacity.Circulation method: A solution of
5–10% must be prepared by diluting ALCACTIVE LIQUID with water.Injection method: Prepare a solution
of 3–6% by diluting ALCACTIVE LIQUID with water.
B. Cleaning ProcedureRock and Roll method: After you
have filled the tank with water (fresh or seawater) to 30% of its capacity and added the required amount of ALCACTIVE LIQUID, let it stand for approximately 24 hours. Then fill tank with more water, up to 90% of its capacity level. This way the tank will be cleaned by natural agitation due to wave motion. Leave for a few days, then drain the tank completely and rinse off by
ballasting–deballasting the tank 2–3 times with water.
Circulation method: After the solution is prepared, apply by circulating for approximately 6–8 hours. Thereon, wash thoroughly with water.

APPLICATIONSBILGE REMOVER is a general oil and grease remover for deck and engine room. Most suitable for removal of oil and grease from machinery parts, tank tops, bulkheads, decks and floor plates. BILGE REMOVER is also used for cleaning of cargo tanks, bunker tanks and for spot cleaning.
DIRECTIONS FOR USEBILGE REMOVER is applied by soaking, spraying or combined with scrubbing.SOAKINGDip parts to be cleaned into bath of undiluted BILGE REMOVER Allow deposit to breaks up and loosen. Then rinse off with water (chemical cleaning module can be utilized for this application, allowing re-circulation of the product). A higher temperature of the solution (up to 60°C) always increases the cleaning power of the product.SPRAYING / CLEANING OF TANKSApply BILGE REMOVER neat and allow product to penetrate into deposits for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing off with water. For stubborn deposits some brushing may be necessary to accelerate removal. Before spraying a prewash with hot water of approx. 60°C is always helpful. For tanks: before cleaning with BILGE REMOVER prewash with hot water of approx. 60ºC, except for drying and semidrying oils. Then spray with undiluted BILGE REMOVER and let the product soak for at least 30 minutes. Rinse each tank for approx. 45 minutes with hot water at 60ºC.SCRUBBING Use BILGE REMOVER undiluted, agitate by scrubbing where soiling is not recent, is thick and/or trodden in. Rinse off with water.CLEANING OF COOLING SYSTEMSFill the cooling system with an emulsion of BILGE REMOVER and water, Depending on the degree of contamination, 100 lt. of cleaning liquid should contain 5-10 lt. of BILGE REMOVER. Allow this emulsion to circulate for 12-24 hours at a maximum temperature of 60ºC. After

APPLICATIONSThe loading of ballast water often results in the deposition of mud, silt and sediment in the ballast tanks, due to the presence of these materials in the waters where ballast is lifted. If this is not dealt with on a regular basis, a "permanent ballast" may accumulate, causing problems when emptying the tank. Can help preventing this build-up, resulting in more efficient operation of the vessel.
ADVANTAGESź Prevents formation of hard-packed layers of mud and sediment in tanks. A loose deposit is formed, which can easily be removed.
ź Increases cargo payload by decreasing unwanted mud and silt in tanks.
ź Eliminates the considerable manual labor required to remove deposits.
ź Highly economical - very effective at low concentrations
ź Non-polluting, non-toxic and non-corrosive
ź Safe and easy to use
DIRECTIONS FOR USE - PRODUCT DOSAGEMUD CLEANER may be used neat or diluted with water in any convenient proportion.
MAINTENANCE TREATMENTź Apply MUD CLEANER directly to the tank prior to each ballasting operation
ź D o s e M U D C L E A N E R i n concentrations of 0,5 lt. per 10 tons of ballast water. The dosage will depend on the severity of contamination in the area where ballast water is loaded.
MUD LIFTING TREATMENTź For existing accumulations of mud and silt in tanks, apply the maximum dosage of 1 lt. of product per 10 tons tank capacity.
ź Fill tank to 50% capacity with seawater.
ź Allow the rolling motion of the ship

WATERBASED HYDROCARBON FREE
APPLICATIONS WATERBASED HYDROCARBON FREE can be used for the removal of vegetable oil, animal oil, fats and light mineral oils in aluminum and zinc silicate coated tanks. It is also being used as an after treatment agent in hydrocarbon free cleaning operations where cleaning has been carried out with BILGE REMOVER or TANK CARE .
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
TANK CLEANING It is recommended to pre-wash the tanks with hot water at 50°C. For drying and semi-drying oils a pre-wash with cold water should be carried out immediately after discharge of cargo to retard oxidation and hardening of oils residues.
RE-CIRCULATION METHOD WATERBASED HYDROCARBON FREE is circulated in a 5% solution for a period of 2 to 6 hours. The temperature of the cleaning solution should be between 20 to 60°C. After circulation period rinse thoroughly with fresh water. A chemical solution is prepared in an empty clean slop tank or one of the after tanks near the pump room. The solution is circulated via the automatic tank washing system pump and heater to the tank to be cleaned. The solution is returned to the solution tank via the stripping line. Usually it is not possible to re-circulate the solution through the tank washing system heater (to maintain solution temperature during cleaning) without making a temporary connection between the solution tank and the tank washing pump. Capacities of solution tank, pipeline, connecting hoses, pumps...etc, should be calculated carefully to ensure sufficient solution is available to maintain continuous re-circulation. AQUATUFF HIGH FOAM is a heavy duty alkaline cleaner with excellent foaming qualities specially formulated for cleaning cargo holds on bulk carriers.
Cargo Hold CleaningAQUATUFF HIGH FOAM is specially developed to clean vertical surfaces. When applied with the proper spray foam equipment, the dense foam created prolongs the contact time between the cleaning solution and the surface to be cleaned. It effectively removes most dry cargoes, sludge, soot, carbon deposits, fish meal etc., and is used for cargo hold cleaning when going from black to white cargo. AQUATUFF HIGH FOAM should not be used on zinc coatings.
Dosing and application methodApply AQUATUFF HIGH FOAM mixed 10--25% (ratio 1:9 to 1:3) in water, using spray foam equipment. Always apply the chemicals from bottom and upwards. Applying from top and down can result in lost cleaning effect or even staining. Leave for 30--45 minutes. The surface remains wet. Repeat the procedure if necessary. Always perform final rinse with fresh water after wash down to avoid salt residues on the surface.
When mixing AQUATUFF HIGH FOAM with seawater the following needs to be taken into account:Seawater may reduce the foaming qualities of the detergent. Seawater may influence the pH of the cleaning solution with a reduced cleaning effect as result. Seawater represents a corrosion risk to the surfaces and the equipment used. When mixing AQUATUFF HIGH FOAM with seawater it is recommend to have a concentration of at least 20 - 25% (ratio 2:9 to 1-3).

APPLICATIONSUsed to disinfect drinking water in aquaducts or on board ships and for desinfecting residual sewage water from waste water treatment. Also used for disinfecting swimming-pool and Jacuzzi-pool water.
ADVANTAGESControl and removal of bacterial flora ensured, thus meeting the essential requirements for drinking water. 12% SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE is universally recognized as a disinfectant for drinking water therefore its use is allowed in all civil water supply lines.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE0,2 PPM of RESIDUAL ACTIVE CHLORINE as assessed by DPD method and tablets or ortho-tolidine should always be present in the ship or pipeline farthest point from place of application. Residual chlorine in drinking water tanks should range between 0,5 and 2 (maximum) PPM, to ensure wide range antibacterial protection. To obtain 2 PPM in a drinking water tank, put 20 cc of CHLOR 12 (corresponding to approximately 20 pump strokes of the proportioning pump) for every cubic meter of water. CHLOR 12 may either be proportioned manually with the proportioning pump or automatically upon water loading by means of a proportioning system featuring a pulse water-meter connected with a special proportioning pump. To obtain 20 cc per ton of CHLOR 12 (or 200 cc every 10 tons). A meter must be installed releasing one impulse every 50 lt. of water flowing inside the pipe. Alternatively, an oversized meter can be used (i.e. every 10 lt.). In this case the sodium hypochlorite solution must be diluted with water or the proportioning pump has to be set to have a pump stroke every 50 lt. Consult your Service Engineer for disinfecting swimming-pool and Jacuzzi-pool.
