St. Agnes works with Zelle

for online church contributions

For the past few years, St. Agnes has worked with WeShare for online contributions. A new option is Zelle, which many parishioners might be familiar with. Zelle is accepted by major banks (including Wells Fargo, US Bank, Citibank, Chase, CapitalOne, and Bank of America, to name but a few) and is known for their easy platform for paying and receiving money. Zelle also offers reoccurring payments as an option. Simply go to Zellepay.com to get started. The email associated with Zelle for church contributions is: [email protected] Source: Zellepay.com

Please give $20… In the recent past we have asked you to give $20 to help us. Now we have no one attending Mass, Funerals, Weddings or Baptisms and no one comes to light a candle. St. Agnes needs your help by giving financial support in a significant way online through Venmo, Zelle, or WeShare. Links to all three can be found at our website: stagneschurchnyc.org. Or , simply send a check in the mail. This would go a long way in helping us with our yearly deficit of $300,000.

Thank you for supporting St. Agnes!

St. Agnes accepts Venmo!

You can now donate to Saint Agnes through Venmo on your smartphone. Search for user @StAgnesNYC. Aren’t familiar with Venmo? It’s a popular way to send money, safely. Some points to know: We use encryption to help protect your account infor-

mation and monitor your account activity to help iden-tify unauthorized transactions.

Pay family and friends with Venmo accounts using a

phone number or email. Make payments using your debit card, credit card,

bank account, and more. The Venmo App is available at The App Store or through Google Play. Source: venmo.com

The Sixth Sunday of Easter

***

The Fifth Sunday

After Easter

A donation was generously made for the bread and wine that was to be consecrated at our Masses for the weeks of April 26th, May 3rd, May 17th, and July 12. However, due to the cancella-tion of Masses, we will honor these donations when the church reopens.

This donation was made for the Living and Faithfully

Departed Friends & Family of the Ober Family.

Thank you for supporting St. Agnes!

Did you know? The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Patroness of the United States under the title of the Immaculate Conception. Now is the time to wear your Miraculous Medal and ask her intercession for your needs!

O Mary, Conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Spiritual Communion

You can make a spiritual communion when participating in a live Mass through the internet, like our WEEK-DAY or SUNDAY Mass that is Livestreamed on our Youtube channel at 12noon. A classic prayer for Spiritual Communion is below.

My Jesus, I believe that Thou

art present in the Blessed Sacrament.

I love Thee above all things and

I desire Thee in my soul.

Since I cannot now receive Thee

sacramentally, come at least

spiritually into my heart,

as though Thou wert already there.

I embrace Thee and unite

myself wholly to Thee;

permit not that I should ever

be separated from Thee.

Amen.

Ascension Thursday This Thursday, May 21st, is Ascension Thursday.

St. Agnes will offer

two livestreamed Masses that day:

Mass at 12noon Mass at 5pm

“During the Ascension

Jesus made the priestly gesture of blessing,

and the disciples certainly expressed their faith with prostration,

they knelt with bowed heads, this is a first important point:

Jesus is the One Eternal High Priest

who, with His Passion,

passed through death and the tomb and ascended into Heaven.

He is with God the Father,

where He intercedes forever in our favor (cf. Heb 9:24).”

-Pope Francis

Sunday Mass Offered

for the

Sick & Deceased

Due to Coronavirus

Beginning TODAY, May 17th, St. Agnes will offer Mass at 11am for those who are suffering or have died due to Coronavirus. This Sunday Mass intention is ongoing and the Mass will be live- streamed on our Youtube Channel. An additional Sunday Mass will continue to be offered on our Youtube channel at 12noon.

The 11am Mass is in response to a number of special requests by Friends and Parishioners who are affected or know someone who has been affected by Coronavirus. We hope that our Masses can be of great comfort to them.

“Pray, pray to the Lord

with me, because the

whole world needs

prayer. And every day,

when your heart

especially feels the

loneliness of life, pray.

Pray to the Lord,

because even God

needs our prayers.”
