PTV PROJECT MANAGER/CONSULTANT | J. LYNNE WAKEFIELD
Hi Gary: As we start marketing “Reboot Your Brain” for the March pledge drive, I wanted to review the project status at this point. “Reboot Your Brain” has received exceptional ratings from pledging stations to date. As you know, a 3 rating is good, 4 is outstanding, and 5 is blockbuster. A 5 rating is rare, with most successful programs averaging a 3-‐4. Nearly every station pledging the program in December gave it a 5 rating, including DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Seattle, Denver, and W. Palm Beach. The remaining stations rated it a 4, so the program is a huge success. To compare, I’m hearing that the latest Deepak Chopra special only averaged a 2 rating across the board. It’s important to note that in addition to your programs debuting with high ratings, they continue to raise money for stations several pledge drives after their initial release. As you know, “Reverse Arthritis” has had 1000+ broadcasts since its debut last March and stations continue to pledge it. This is extraordinary for a pledge special. It’s also important to note that we have made tremendous progress within PBS over the past year. Stations that have not aired your programs for 15+ years are now starting to pledge Null programs again. This is due to consistent marketing, talking with stations, and sharing program results over several pledge drives. We’ve built momentum and I hope we’ll be able to continue to do so. Let me know if you have any questions. I’m looking forward to tremendous success for March. J. Lynne Wakefield PTV Project Manager/Consultant 702-‐813-‐7515 [email protected]
Shining Pictures LLC Gary Null 2507 Broadway, 2nd floor New York NY 10024 January 5, 2014 Dear Gary, It was such a pleasure working with you on the “No More Allergies” Virtual Pledge Event for PBS distribution. Virtuals automatically increase national carriage by providing stations with a seamless, basically “plug and play” revenue opportunity. Increased carriage expands visual marketing of product on TV and web providing valuable promotional time that leverages branding and generates sales. It’s a true win-‐win, turnkey model where stations are provided in-‐demand fundraising programming free of charge while extremely cost effective production and marketing expands national positioning, visibility and audience reach. Now with a dozen airings, the test results for “No More Allergies” on Colorado Public Television are in. The results for the rollout in September were outstanding, rating a 5 ++ on the PBS scale of 0 – 5 (with 5 being the highest). Encore airings in December held at 4 and more airings will be scheduled upcoming in March. I’m sure you will have much success with “No More Allergies” on PBS stations across the country! Warmest regards,
SB Shari Bernson CEO, Executive Consultant

Dear Gary,
Last week, on November 15, 2012, during your 26 minutes of pitching you raised nearly
$40,000 for WBAI. I thought you’d like to know that you set two records in raising the most
amounts for WBAI for a single program and secondly, the largest amount raised for any
program in the history of WBAI. What makes this even more interesting is that 4 weeks ago,
you raised $37,500 in a similar amount of time for WBAI which, at that time, was the largest
amount raised for a single program in the history of WBAI. You now hold the first two positions
for the largest amounts raised for WBAI. We greatly appreciate all of your service to WBAI
beginning on March 15, 1977.
Please note further that WBAI is in a disaster zone and I have been busy managing and
improvising which made it difficult for me to send you this letter earlier.
Yours Truly,
Berthold Reimers

Gary Null on KPFK
From The Station Manager The KPFK Winter Fund Drive in 19 days (456 hours) reached an on air pledge total of $1,226,875. A major portion of this total was brought in by Gary Null who, in 35 hours, brought in $221,935, over 18 percent of the income within 7.6 percent of the hours of fundraising. But in our recent fundrive Gary limited his daytime pitches to one slot in which he did well, about $16,000 in two hours on Saturday 10am-12pm. - I think the 2nd highest total in the drive (after one big $20,000 hour of Ian Masters). In the recent drive Gary's pledge total was about $25,000. Had Gary been given a show on KPFK and persuaded to pitch as much as he did in the Winter Drive we would most likely have raised over $200,000 more than we did.
From Roy Tuckman, Programmer on KPFK
According to our statistics, Gary Null has helped KPFK significantly by pitching during our last 4 fund drives. In the current drive his premium was the #1 premium.
June 2007 KPFK Fund drive: Gary spoke about his new DVD, "Sexual Healing" and his gigantic book, "Get Healthy Now," which had been a premium in a past fund drive. Miraculously, the pledges came out of the woodwork and Gary was asked if he could stay until 4pm, which he did. In slightly over an hour, he raised $18,300.00, about $240 per minute. The 75 minute pitch was a standout in the day's pledge income. The second largest total of the day was $12,000 by one of the two biggest fundraisers at KPFK in her regular program time slot and the third largest total was $7640 by the other of our largest fundraisers in her regular program time slot. This contrasted to a relative stranger speaking to a new audience after an hour of electrical acrobatics which must have eliminated nearly all of the already small audience.
OFFICIAL TOTAL SO FAR FROM TERRY GUY @KPFK $167.812.00
"Sexual Healing and Ageless Answer had a total of 679 requests & counting - calls continuing to come in, Internet requests still coming.
KPFK 2008 Winter Fundriive:
KPFK has just finished our Winter Fund Drive in 19 days (456 hours) with an on air pledge total of $1,226,875. A major portion of this total was brought in by Gary Null who, in 35 hours, brought in $221,935, over 18 percent of the income within 7.6 percent of the hours of fundraising. Furthermore, Gary's fundraising, both live and rebroadcast on CD, was broadcast totally in either the low audience hours of weekdays after midnight or during afternoons or evenings where his voice and his program are unknown to the audiences. In addition, while the average pledge to the station was about $122.00, the average pledge during Gary's hours was $88, meaning that even more people called in responding to his appeals than the figures reveal. Two-thousand-five-hundred-and-twenty people responded to Gary's fundraising appeals. In the entire fund drive, the average income was $2690.50 per hour while during Gary's time, the average income was $6341 per hour. He established several records. In the entire fund drive, the station brought in over $10,000 in an hour 18 times, and of these, Gary Null made it 7 times and of the top hours in the entire fund drive, Gary's hours rank first through 6th highest income hours, from $16,000 to $23,000.
KPFK 2008 June Fund drive: Letter from Roy Tuckman – June 27, 2008 To Whom It May Concern: KPFK has just finished another fund drive, just short of our goal of $1,085,000 by a little over $85,000. Gary Null, as usual, contributed above and beyond the call of duty for the time that he was fundraising. On my weekday after midnight program, from midnight to 5:30am, Gary brought in $25,050.00 during this time when most stations know better to even attempt to raise funds. The largest night was $10,120. Other nights, without Gary, raised between $2020 to $6835. Most notably, Gary pitched to a cold audience on a Saturday morning, from 10am to noon, during a time when the audience tunes in to hear a science program or computer show or a car show. He brought in $18,560 in these two hours, when the entire 24 day raised $41,800. So before an audience that doesn't know him, he managed, in two hours, to bring in nearly half the day's worth of pledges. On the previous Saturday from 10am to noon, the station raised $4430 and the subsequent Saturday, $7295. In addition, the second of these hours totaled $13.145 which was the third highest hour in the entire 3 week fund drive. The top hour of $20,555 was achieved by a very popular programmer who has been on for over 26 years. The second top hour of $19,285, was the final hour of the fund drive which is always exciting and celebratory. Gary was talking to an audience who mostly never heard of him before. The average hour for the fund drive was $2062. I will be happy to speak with anyone who wants more information. Yours truly, Roy Tuckman, KPFK Senior Staff Member, [email protected] On WBAI he was on from 12-1pm Monday through Friday and brought in up to one third of their income* - and after he left the station WBAI never had another successful drive. On WPFW, he was on Monday through Friday, also, and brought in up to one-third of WBAI's annual listener income. Roy Tuckman, KPFK Senior Staff Member, [email protected] *(This is an excerpt from an email from Roy Tuckman. Exact dollar amounts of revenue generated by Gary Null at WBAI would have to be researched.)*

To Whom It May Concern,
Gary Null made his usual significant contribution to the KPFK Fall Fund Drive this September/October. His phone pledge total for 34 hours of fundraising, some live and mostly rebroadcast, was $143,515, which amounts to 12.5% or 1/8 of our total phone pledges of $1,151,076.
On my Tuesday night program where Gary appears regularly from midnight to 6am, he brought in $13,275, $9610, and $9825 on the three successive weeks that he fundraised. On the other three nights per week that I pitched, my totals ran from $813 to $4955. KPFK also received $54,352 pledges on the web.
Gary’s DVD “Preventing and Reversing Cancer Naturally” was the #1 most popular premium, with 1014 requests on the phone and 43 on the web. It was also part of some big ticket packages and KPFK received a total of 1658 requests for it. The second most popular gift was Gary’s Berry Blast Powder with 769 pledge request and the 9th most popular was his Ageless Answer Skin Cream with 155 requests on the phone and 20 online.
It is safe to conclude that Gary’s presence, even in the face of fundraising most of the time to a new audience, helped shorten the length of our fund drive.
I will be happy to discuss any of these facts; my KPFK voicemail is (818) 985-5735, ext. 221.

On Wednesday afternoon, February 27, from 2-4pm, he brought in $21,760. On the two previous Wednesday afternoons, playing popular and successful programs, the station brought in $8510 and $12,155.
On Thursday afternoon, 2/21 he brought in $17,500 between 2-4pm and on Thursday the 28th, between 1-4pm, he brought in $29,450.00 On the previous Thursday, without Gary Null, the station brought in $3575 between 2-4pm and $6960 between 1-4pm.
On Thursday evening, February 28th, Gary’s CD pitches brought in $9470 between 8-10pm. On the previous Thursday evenings, using popular programs, the station brought in $4795 and $4300 respectively in those hours.
As an experiment, the station put on CDs of Gary fundraising on Saturday, March 1, between 8-10am which brought in $15,010. On the two previous Saturday mornings, with popular programs, the station brought in $2355 and $2800 respectively during these hours.
continued on back...

continued
Gary pitched live on two Saturdays between 11am-2pm to new audiences. He brought in $27,515 the first week and $47,750 the second, which include the top, second, and third highest hours of the entire fund drive. On the first Saturday, the station’s special programming brought in $16.680 with popular programs.
On my night show on Tuesday night between midnight and 5:30am where Gary is familiar to the audience, the overnight totals were $5735, $30,655, and $12,710. The nightly totals for my program which is on Monday through Thursday nights, midnight to 5:30am ran from $1100 to $5300 except on Gary’s night which is Tuesday night. His totals for his three nights were $5785, $30,655, and $12,710.
His all time record for the night show is slightly over $35,000 which topped the previous all-time record of $11,500 attained before Gary appeared on the show.
Gary established the top fundraising hours during the fund drive and without doubt received the largest number of pledge calls during his times, breaking many records. In my 31 years of broadcasting on KPFK I have never seen anyone equal his record breaking fundraising acumen.
I will be happy to discuss any of this with interested parties. My voicemail is (818) 985-2711 ext. 221 and email [email protected]

To Whom it may Concern:
During a rather tired fund drive this month, Gary Null has added major income to KPFK in his off-hour fundraising.
On Tuesday, June 19, he pitched for the second time in the 2-4pm hours, which are normally devoted to new programs and specialized programs which don’t gather a large audience. We are happy if 3 or 4,000 dollars in pledges is called in during this time. Gary brought in $21,725, even though he is a stranger to this audience. This income is added to the $18,300. he brought in from 3-4pm the previous week. In addition, on the next day, from 2-3pm, a CD was played of his previous day’s pitch and this brought in an astounding additional $10,265, the third biggest hour of the day! Gary was using as premiums his films “It’s Not Your Fault You’re Fat” and “Sexual Healing” with his Ageless Advance skin cream.
In the extremely off hours of midnight to 5:30, Gary brought in an additional $12,690 on June 20 in 4 1/2 hours fundraising, both live and on CD. This can be added to the $8770 he brought in the previous week from 3-5:30am.
It is obvious that we have witnessed a major medical breakthrough in which Gary, over the airwaves, has been able to bestow immunity to donor fatigue on the spot.
I will be happy to discuss this further if you wish. I can be reached at (818) 985-2711 ext. 221 or [email protected]
