It’s worth it. Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) -- Today is a 7 -- You need imagination to pen- etrate a tangled web of concepts and feelings. Free your words, but don’t etch them in stone. There’s room for different points of view. Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) -- Today is 6 - Rein in early-morning enthusiasm. Others aren’t quite ready. You’ll con- vince them later. Celebrate with ethnic food. Try something new. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) -- Today is a 6 -- Uncork all of your persua- sive powers. You can use them at home, in social settings or in a confrontation over money. Dial down your opinion. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) -- To- day is a 7 -- Your partner really needs a vacation. If you can’t plan it instantly, at least schedule it. Choose a destination not too far from home. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) -- To- day is a 7 -- Focus on written work. You make headway on a paper or report. In- clude unusual tidbits of information to make the material more interesting. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) -- To- day is a 6 -- Expect a lot of conversation today. A future goal doesn’t require im- mediate completion. Exercise patience in these early stages. The magic happens in the aging process. What is to happen with Woods’ marriage with his wife, Elin? He insists his focus is towards his mar- riage, but I can hear OneRepublic’s “It’s too late to apologize” playing as the divorce papers are slipped under the door. Perhaps the one question that perplexes us all is why now? And why wait so long? “I made you question who I am,” he said. Yes, Tiger, you made us question … for way too long. Woods seemed serious, but I felt like he was reading a speech at a dinner party as opposed to him discussing his adultery and long hiatus. When Kobe Bryant opened up to the media about accusations of sexual assault, it was prompt, hon- est and his wife was by his side. Woods said, “I ask you to find room in your heart to one day be- lieve in me again.” That one day is not coming anytime soon. It will come when golf and Tiger Woods are as one. Because unlike other sports, golf will wither away without him, and it already has started to. Tiger Woods is more than a man. He is a symbol, and, to be frank, he is golf — with its entirety. There are other renowned golfers, but they are simply bricks on the house of golf that Woods has built in the last decade. Without Tiger, golf is only the game our fathers play on week- ends. It is the game we will soon play once we’ve strained too many muscles playing impact sports to transition to a new game. The NBA survived when its greatest player (a la Michael Jor- dan) left the game. But golf cannot survive without its greatest. Woods said in his speech that his apology to his wife will not come in the form of words, but in his behavior. The same can be said for his apology to the public. It will not be through petty words that we forgive Woods, but through his actions on the golf course. What he needs to understand is that we can pick out the flaws of a man and look down on him just as easy as we can pick out the greatness of a man and look up to him. His accomplishments are gone with the wind. His failures are on the forefront. I’ve heard many analysts say Woods will not be defined by his life off the golf course. I disagree, and from Woods’ speech, he seems to disagree as well. “It’s not what you achieve in life that matters, it’s what you over- come,” he said. “Character and de- cency are what really count.” Make it count, Tiger. Today’s birthday (2/23/10). What-ever ails you in the coming year, dreams provide surprising cures. Pay attention to the messages that come to you when you’re sleeping or simply daydreaming. This powerful source of feelings and symbols helps you deal with family is-sues. You may shift old ways of thinking, letting go of worn-out attitudes.

To get the advantage, check the day’s rating: 10 is the easiest day, 0 the most challenging.

Aries (March 21-April 19) -- To-day is a 5 -- Share a musical experience with friends. It could be a concert or an
