Prayer for Advent

Dear God, As an Advent candle is lit in joyous anticipation of

your Son’s nativity, remind us always of the

reason for our joy. As the purple of the

candles stand for both penance and atonement for sin, give us the grace to do

penance for our wrongs, and to love Christ, whose sacrifice atoned for the sins of the whole world. But just as the rose candle stands for joy in the midst of suffering

and expectation, give us the joy of your Son, Jesus Christ, who came into a world that had so longed for its

Savior, and made the angels themselves sing with joy at His birth.

We meet every Wednesday at 9;30 AM in

Room 220/FEC.

Our next meeting is December 20.

Most souls are released from Purgatory on Christmas Day.

To best celebrate Christmas, let's deck heaven's halls with Holy Souls this holiday season.

During this very busy week, take some time out to visit

St. Paul’s Adoration Chapel and say a Rosary for the Holy Souls. This is a gift that you give them and they will return

the gift to you from Heaven.

PRAY THE ROSARY DAILY FOR THE HOLY SOULS.

For more information, call Mary @ 352-638-2747.

The pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima

is available for loan for 1 week intervals for those wanting to

have it in their home. If you are interested, please call Mary Moreau at 352-315-0902.

Gifted Hands

is a ministry of the parish established to give comfort to

those in nursing homes, hospitals and shut-ins. Gifted Hands meets on the

4th Friday of the month. We are in need of yarn donations.

For more information, please call: Gloria @ 410-7113 or Rebecca @ 728-4835.

Reject Assisted Suicide.

Please urge your U.S. Representa!ve to

support H. Con. Res. 80, which calls on the

federal government to reject assisted

suicide and to ensure that every person

facing death has access to the best quality

and comprehensive medical and pallia!ve

health care. The bill does have bi-par!san support. In a le'er

to the U.S. House of Representa!ves, Cardinal Dolan, Chairman

of the USCCB Commi'ee on Pro-Life Ac!vi!es, and Bishop

Dewane, Chairman of the USCCB Commi'ee on Domes!c

Jus!ce and Human Development, have expressed their strong

support for H. Con. Res. 80 "to expose the deadly,

discriminatory and non-compassionate prac!ce of assisted

suicide in our na!on. ...Pa!ents also need assurance that they

are not a burden -- that it is a privilege to care for them, as all

people hope to be cared for one day."

We will not be meeting until the

front doors to the Holy Family Room can be used. We shall contact you when our meetings resume.

Thank you! For more information, please call Lucille at 352.661.3252 or

Carol at 352.638.9179.
