1. Implementation of the ISO 20121 | Effort in the game
Efforts for environment:
Cleaning up the sea bottom at Port of Yokohama where the swim course of WTS
Yokohama was laid out, and implementation of activities including the “Green Triathlon”
that promotes environmental conservation through organizing environmentally-friendly
triathlon events.
Efforts for society:
Organization of the event by developing understanding of WTS amongst residents and
corporations alongside the course as well as soliciting support from many citizens,
institutions and volunteers in the area; Development of crisis-management systems to
secure safety of athletes and spectators as the top priority.
Efforts for economy:
Contribution to revitalization of the economy in the city due to the large number of
spectators and participating triathletes from home and abroad: Yielding support from a
great number of sponsors in addition to local companies.

Ministry of the Environment of Japan has decided to hold IPCC (The
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) 2014 in Yokohama.

October, 2012 Yokohama have become candidate for venue.

- Athletes, especially Japanese, gave us a energy.
- The Game made us reconfirm the significance of the
legacy of the event.
- The Game made clear sustainable efforts in the event.
- There are many possibilities in the event.
