Having lived in the property for the past 44 years the current owner and her family have enjoyed many memorable occasions in the property “my two sons were just 4 and 6 when we arrived here, they have grown up here, with their own space at the top of the house and their own children now enjoy visiting too” she says. “The road is like its own little community, several of the neighbours have, like us, lived in the properties for many years. I am still in touch with previous residents and the neighbours, new or old have always been pleasant. There is a reason that people stay here so long; they are houses that you cannot grow out of”.

“I will be sad to leave Leam Terrace, it has truly been an all round family home, but unfortunately is just too big for one person. It is so rare to find a property with such close proximity to the shops and facilities, yet with all of the benefits of country living,” continues the owner. We always kept dogs here; there is the Jepherson Gardens just across the river and the two wonderful meadows at the end of the road where the dogs can roam for hours on end. It’s a valuable feature having the best of both worlds.”

“It is a very pretty house. I have always been particularly fond of the delicate fretwork on the front and visitors have often admired the unique period ceiling in the living room. It is unusual for properties of this age to still maintain their original features but we have tried our best to ensure that the house remains as elegant today as when it was built. We have also restored the fireplace in the living room, when we arrived it had been bricked over but my husband and I reinstated the traditional hearth. It is a feature that makes the living room so homely in the winter, there is nothing like gathering around a nice big fireplace for a family evening.”

Outside Set well back from Leam Terrace there is off road parking to the front of the property.The rear garden is walled and measures some sixty feet by thirty. There is a tandem garage to the rear accessed from Mill Street.
