INTRODUCTIONWelcome to the Shoalhaven Defence Industry Directory - February 2012 edition. The Directory is produced annually by the Shoalhaven Defence Industry Group. The Group seeks to promote the defence industry capabilities of the Shoalhaven to attract business, investment and jobs. It represents an alliance between industry, Shoalhaven City Council, the NSW Government through NSW Trade & Investment, and the Shoalhaven Business Chamber working together to achieve these outcomes.
The Shoalhaven has a long and proud history of providing innovative defence technology and services to the Australian and global defence industries. It has developed a strong industry base with extensive capabilities to service the Royal Australian Navy and other defence agencies. These capabilities cover a broad spectrum and include: design, manufacture and in-service support of mechanical and electronic systems, test regimes, simulation and training services, technical consultancy services and infrastructure design and construction.

TASKS / CAPABILITIESNavy Aviation Systems Program Office (NASPO) is an element of Helicopter Systems Division of the Defence Materiel Organisation, which supports the Navy Fleet Commander’s mission to plan, prepare for and conduct maritime operations for the protection of Australia and promotion of the Nation’s security and interests.
