44th AHAF Thanksgiving Show
Another Thanksgiving show down in our record books as being one of the most fun shows I can remember. We are already gearing up for next year as it will be our 45th Anniversary. Don’t know where the >me flies.
We had loads of new exhibitors and, as always, we loved to see our regulars enjoy our great Florida weather. Only one chilly day. Brr. I am sure our great panel of judges and officials would love to be back in Florida this week!
Our Thanksgiving Dinner Extravaganza and party were hosted by Cathy Perryman and Country Caterers again this year. These lovely people go all out to make our Thanksgiving loads of fun, including Casinio games, mechanical bull, gator slides, jous>ng and trike racing. A crowd favorite was when the judges made their own game by jous>ng on trikes. I laughed so hard my sides were sore. Thank you Country Caterers for hos>ng a great party for a huge group!
On Friday evening, everyone headed over to Innova>on Arabians LLC for a wonderful barn party featuring food, fun, friends and something called beer pong! Who knew?
Saturday evening we were thankful to have 2 of Mark Millers’ riders grace us with the flag presenta>on and Lee Kidd knocked the Na>onal Anthem out of the park.
The Arabian Horse Associa>on would like to invite everyone down to warm and sunny Florida next year for a first-‐hand experience.
Yours Truly,
LaRue Allen

Central Piedmont Arabian Horse Associa*on
RELAUNCH!!!!Something exci>ng is happening in “the Piedmont” (an area located in the center of both Region 12 and North & South Carolina). Last month, a small, but enthusias>c group of people got together and ignited a spark of desire to re-‐launch the Central Piedmont Arabian Horse Associa>on (CPAHA).
Although there is a vibrant horse community in our area of the country, it seems that there is a lack of local camaraderie among Arabian horse enthusiasts. The CPAHA, once a highly ac>ve club, was nearly disbanded due to lack of par>cipa>on. Many local Arabian horse owners have joined other, more ac>ve clubs, but have failed to aCend mee>ngs or par>cipate due to distance. Others have been sa>sfied to have no club affilia>on at all.
Our desire to re-‐launch the CPAHA includes a vision for more than just an AHA membership discount. We see it as an opportunity for Arabian horse enthusiasts to come together to share ideas, ac>vi>es, experiences and dreams. Our team of leaders is already working to organize several horse shows for the 2014 show season, an extensive Youth program, as well as ample opportuni>es for our members to promote their farms, sale horses and breeding stallions.
We’d like to extend an invita>on to you, your friends and family to join us for our first re-‐launch event, the CPAHA Holiday Celebra>on, Saturday, December 28th at 1 PM. The party will be held at my home, located in front of our training facility at Diamond Hill Arabians in Waxhaw, NC.
Many of you, like my family, have had your horses for years and have so much to contribute! Please consider joining us as we work together to grow the local Arabian horse community. For more informa>on or to RSVP to the party, please contact Kimberly SuCon: 803-‐526-‐1580 or [email protected].
Yours Truly,
Jack Lapointe
