  • 1. G ods R iches At C hrists SAVING E xpenseEphesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved,through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the giftof God not by works, so that no one can boast.
  • 2. Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that brings salvationhas appeared to all men. It teaches us to say No toungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age SUSTAINING
  • 3. Giving is Gods gift of grace to undeserving sinners.It frees us from the materialism of this worldby calling us to give generously and cheerfully.2 Corinthians 8-9GRACE SHOWS ITSELF IN GIVING
  • 4. Setting the Stage 2 Corinthians 8:1 And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. Grace Gift
  • 5. Generosity Out of Need2 Corinthians 8:2-4 Out of themost severe trial, theiroverflowing joy and theirextreme poverty welled up in Severely Passed therich generosity. For I testify that tested testthey gave as much as they wereable, and even beyond their Most severe Overflowing trial joyability. Entirely on their Rich Extremeown, they urgently pleaded poverty generositywith us for the privilege ofsharing in this service to thesaints.

Generosity Proves Faith 2 Corinthians 8:7-8 But just as you excel in everythingin faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for ussee that you also excel in this grace of giving. I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.
  • 7. Why They Gave Generously2 Corinthians 8:5 And theydid not do as we Savingexpected, but they gave Gracethemselves first to theLord and then to us in Giving iskeeping with Gods will. an act of grace Sustaining Grace
  • 8. Giving a Matter of Grace? 2 Corinthians 9:8-10 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
  • 9. Theology of Giving2 Corinthians 9:13 Becauseof the service by which youhave proved yourselves, menwill praise God for theobedience that accompaniesyour confession of the gospelof Christ, and for yourgenerosity in sharing withthem and with everyone else.
  • 10. Everything Belongs to God 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
  • 11. 2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of ourLord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet foryour sakes he became poor, so that you throughhis poverty might become rich.2 Corinthians 8-9OUR MOTIVATION & GOAL

  • 13. Giving is Gods Gift of Grace 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace 2 Corinthians 9:15 abound to you, so Thanks be to God that in all things at for his indescribable all times, having all gift! that you need, you will abound in every good work.
