Section 24. EXPLANATION OF LEADERSHIP PROGRAMThe SLW offers different types of leadership training in the forms of Innovation Academies, Innovation Tracks and Power
Sessions.
An Innovation Academy is a series of training topics linked together for those who want to maximize and concentrate their
leadership development in a specific area. A leadership academy is a two-day experience. If you sign up for this type of
training, you must remain in the academy for both days. This year, we are offering Academies for Entrepreneurship,

example below:
Entrepreneurship Academy. Once an academy is selected, the participant will stay in this program for the
entire workshop. Participants must enter at the beginning and stay for the duration of the academy. This
Academy is limited to the first 80 particpants who sign up at registration.
An Innovation Track is a group of similar workshop sessons with a common theme (example: Life Success or College and
Career). Members will get the most out of attending all the sessions within a track as each workshop builds on a common
strand of knowledge. However, members may elect to attend a few sessions from Tracks and may attend other workshopsthey are interested in as they wish. The Tracks offered this year are: College & Career, Communication, FBLA Opportunities,
FBLA Compeition Boot Camp, Life Success, Marketing, State Project/Community Service, and Technology. Remind members
to bring their laptops or mobile devices to the Technology sessions.
Power Sessionsare fun workshops, condensed in time, but super-sizeed in knowledge. These -hour, fast-paced, sessionsleave you with a maximized amount of knowledge in a concentrated amount of time. These sessions are perfect to get your
brain and your FBLA career jump started into high gear! Most sessions on Monday are Power Sessions. Topics include: State
Project/Community Service, Etiquette, Professionalism, and Finance. If uncertain which Power Session to attend, there are
