Student Bulletin 12 October 2020
Covid Symptoms?
• A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you
do not need to measure your temperature).
• A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or
more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse
than usual).
• A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you
cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
If you have Covid symptoms, do not come to college. Stay home and get a test. Your
whole household must stay home and self-isolate. Let your teachers know so that you
can get any learning materials/work or join the lesson on Teams. If you come down with
symptoms at College, we will place you in a safe room and call your parents to come
and collect you.

Rainy Lunchtimes
We cannot cope with too many people in the social area at lunchtime. Cases in London
are rising, and we cannot have lots of people together indoors.
• If you have no afternoon lesson, go home.
• If you have no morning lesson, try to come in close to the start time of the
afternoon lesson.
• You can eat lunch at your desk of your afternoon classroom (with a few exceptions)
or in the hall or the canteen itself.

Navaratri
The word Navratri is derived from Sanskrit, meaning nine
nights - nava (nine) ratri (night). In the East and various parts
of North east India, Navratri is celebrated as Durga Puja,
where the festival symbolizes the victory of Goddess Durga
over demon Mahishasura, signifying the victory of good over
evil. Watch this video to learn more.
