Equipments used to handle the materials:

Battery jacks

Fork lifters

Stackers

Double deep stackers

Material Handling Devices

Minimum requirements for operating MHEs:

1. LTV/car driving license

2. Special training on MHEs hazards/operation

3. Written test after training (passing marks > 70%)

4. Driving test after training (passing marks > 27)

5. Medical test (conducted at health centre/HR)

Hierarchy used for driving MHE:

1. Battery jack (at least 3 months)

2. Fork lifter

3. Stacker

4. Double deep stacker

Note: License is mandatory before sitting in training

Criteria For MHE Operator

At the start of each shift MHEs are being inspected by MHE operators as

per inspection checklist & following general inspections are conducted:

Front / back lights

Indicators

Brake / hand brake

Horn

Hotter

Revolving light

Mirrors

Forks

Battery
