The Department received your above-referenced request on December 21, 2012. Please find

enclosed the information the Department located in response to your request. These records are

provided to you at no cost.

Please note that section 411.00755 of the Government Code limits the information that can be

released from the personnel record of a commissioned officer of the Department of Public

Safety. Unless the provisions in section (c) apply, only the information listed in subsections

(b)(l)-(12) may be released. In addition, the Department has received a previous determinationfrom the Attorney Generals office allowing us to withhold the excepted information without

requesting a ruling. Open Records Letter Ruling 2010-12863;seeGovt Code 552.301(a);seealso Open Records Decision No. 673 at 7 (2001). As none of the release provisions in section

(c) are applicable in this instance, only the information specified in subsections (b)(l)-(12) is

available to you at this time.

Description of Request Information: MEDIA REQUEST I'm writing to request

information on State Trooper Kelley Helleson, an officer operating in the

Irving, Texas area, who has been named in a lawsuit alleging an improper

body cavity search on July 13 of this year:

records of any complaints filed against Trooper Helleson, both internal

and external. If Trooper Helleson has been commended for her performance,

we'd like to have that information also, in order to counterbalance any
