Greetings to all and thank you for your interest in our program. Every fouryears, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery(AAFPRS) and the International Federation of Facial Plastic SurgerySocieties (IFFPSS) host an international symposium that brings togetherfacial plastic surgeons from all over the world and in the specialties of facialplastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, dermatologic surgery, plastic andcosmetic surgery. The symposium features the latest trends and technolo-gies in facial plastic surgery by offering lectures, panels, workshops andinstruction courses led by experts in the field and an exhibition of over 100companies displaying and introducing their latest products and services.

What makes this meeting special is the commemoration and celebration ofthe Academy's 50th Anniversary. Building on the traditions of the AAFPRS,this meeting explores the latest in techniques and technologies in facialplastic and reconstructive surgery. Internationally renowned facial plasticsurgeons will be joined by colleagues in plastic surgery, dermatology andoculoplastic surgery in discussing the nuances of facial plastic surgery.Cadaver labs focusing on rhinoplasty, facelift, endoscopic brow and midfacelift, and blepharoplasty and ptosis repair provide hands-on experience topractice the nuances of specific procedures, while separate workshops onenergy-based skin rejuvenation and hair restoration provide in-depthcoverage of these topics. A two-day practice management course will covermarketing, social media and the Internet and staffing issues in your practice.

After Friday,April 18, 2014, you will be charged the on-site fee.Registration fees for physicians, OFPSA members, alliedhealth professionals, and spouses and guests include abadge; on-site program; attendance to all the sessions(unless there is an additional fee involved); entrance tothe Exhibit Hall; lunches, morning and afternoon breaks;and the Welcome Reception. Spouses/guests who do notregister for the meeting but wish to attend the WelcomeReception, may purchase a ticket for $100. The spouse/guest fee carries no acknowledgement of course atten-dance.

Cancellation PolicyFull refunds less a $75 cancellation fee will be honoredbefore Friday, April 18, 2014. After this date, no refundswill be granted. No shows are considered to be an on-sitecancellation and therefore will not be eligible for anyrefunds. A cancellation requires written notification.

ABOUT THE AAFPRS AND ITS FOUNDATIONThe American Academy of Facial Plastic and Recon-structive Surgery (AAFPRS) was founded in 1964 andrepresents more than 2,500 facial plastic and reconstruc-tive surgeons throughout the world. The AAFPRS is aNational Medical Specialty Society of the AmericanMedical Association (AMA). The AAFPRS holds anofficial seat in the AMA House of Delegates and on theAmerican College of Surgeons board of governors. The majority of AAFPRS members and fellows arecertified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which includes examination infacial plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures, andthe American Board of Facial Plastic and ReconstructiveSurgery. In 1974, the Educational and Research Foundationfor the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Recon-structive Surgery (AAFPRS Foundation) was created toaddress the medical and scientific issues and challengeswhich confront facial plastic surgeons. The AAFPRS Foundation established a proactiveresearch program and educational resources for leadersin facial plastic surgery. Through courses, workshops,and other scientific presentations, as well as a highlyrespected fellowship training program, the AAFPRSFoundation has consistently provided quality educa-tional programs for the dissemination of knowledge andinformation among facial plastic surgeons. In the early 1990s, FACE TO FACE humanitarianprograms were established so that AAFPRS memberscould use their skills and share their talent in helping theless fortunate individuals here and abroad.• FACE TO FACE: International brings AAFPRS mem-bers to third world countries where they treat childrenwith facial birth defects and anomalies.• FACE TO FACE: The National Domestic ViolenceProject allows AAFPRS members to perform surgerieson survivors of domestic abuse here in the United States,who have received injuries to their faces.• The newest member to FACE TO FACE is FACES OFHONOR. This program offers free surgical care forsoldiers who have been injured in the line of duty in Iraqand/or Afghanistan.

ABOUT THE IFFPSSThe International Federation of Facial Plastic SurgerySocieties (IFFPSS) is a group of societies of facial plasticsurgeons from various countries around the world. ThisFederation was formed in 1997 after extensive discus-sions initiated by the AAFPRS.
