Natural = notes indicated by minor key signature Harmonic = natural minor PLUS #7 (raise 7th

degree)

Melodic is different going up than down:

use natural minor PLUS #6 and #7

cancel alterations (same as natural minor)

Natural = notes indicated by Major key signature PLUS 3 6 and 7

Harmonic = notes indicated by Major key signature PLUS 3 and6

Sixth & Seventh Scale Degrees in Minor Keys

6 same as M: 6 or La (3 HS below tonic)

6 same as m: 6 (4 HS below tonic)

7 same as M: 7 or Ti (HS below tonic)

7 same as m: 7 (WS below tonic)

Examples in a minor: = F# = F = G# = G
