Quickly, copy the following into your note section of your binder:

Instructions:

1. Write two stanzas of five lines each.2. Lines one through four must begin

with a subordinator and CANNOT be a complete sentence.

3. Last line of each stanza MUST be a complete sentence AND cannot begin with a subordinator.

4. Capitalize the first word in each line.5. Punctuate lines one through four

with a comma.6. Punctuate line five with a period.

Example:Whenever I get up, After the alarm clock has gone off,Before the sun comes up, As I stumble to the shower, I slowly get ready for my school day.

When I arrive at school, As I am talking to my friends, Before classes begin, While I do my work, I long to be back in my cozy bed.

• Adverb- The senator gave a speech here.

Adjectival Clause• Modifies a noun or pronoun,

answering questions like which or what kind of

• In formal writing, an adjective clause begins with the relative pronouns who(m), that, or which.

• Consider the following examples:

• Adjective- the red coat Adjective clause- the coat that I bought yesterday
