Confirmation Year 1-/ Primer Año de Confirmación

Today we tippy toe into Ordinary Time. Last Sunday, Pentecost, is the end of Easter, but we can’t quite let go of this greatest celebration. Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. It’s not quite Easter, but it’s not quite Ordinary Time. The color is still white, like Easter. We’re now 57 days past Easter, so that season should be over. But, we hang on for 2 more Sundays. Like a milestone birthday or anniversary, we want to continue the joyfulness of the day. Just so, our church extends the Easter Season by two weeks. Let us rejoice and be glad! The readings begin with Moses recalling the people’s salvation by the hand of God. Saint Paul reflects on the mystery of the Trinity. The Gospel has the Risen Christ commission the disciples to “do all that I have commanded you.” He promises to give us the strength to follow His commands by telling us He will be with us until the end of time. The party goes on! This is Day on the Ridge, a party to support Saint Joseph Family Center. I hope to see you there! Rose Barry, Pastoral Associate

Knights of Columbus Our Saint Mary Knights of Columbus supports our parish in many ways, through service, fellowship, and money. Watch for one of their events or contact Steve Brinkman or the parish office for more information. Support our Knights!

Care of Our New Church It is the responsibility of all of us to maintain the beauty of our renovation. Let’s become a Keep Our

Church Beautiful Team. God bless your efforts in this! All of us need to step up and take responsibility for the upkeep of our new space. Seriously, no food or drink in the church—take it outside. Please don’t leave your bulletin or songbook in the pew; we have racks for them both at the doors. Please don’t use the floor for your trash bin—someone else will have to pick it up. We have trash and recycling bins at all the doors. Now that our kneelers have been refurbished, please don’t use them for anything but kneeling, after you gently put them down. When they are folded, they can’t survive people (even children) standing on them or kicking them. If your child needs to stand on something to see what’s going on, please lower the kneeler or have them stand on the pew.
