2018 BISHOP'S LENTEN APPEAL LIVING IN FAITH. GIVING IN GRATITUDE

This weekend every household in our parish will be asked to complete a Bishop's Lenten Appeal (BLA) pledge form at Mass. If you have already donated through the mail or online or are not able to participate, there will be a place to note that on the form. After reflecting upon the many blessings that God has given you, please prayerfully consider making a pledge of support to this important appeal that funds many programs, officers and ministries that serves people in need and further the mission of Jesus Christ in our diocese.

ASH WEDNESDAY--LENT BEGINS

This Wednesday, February 14, is Ash Wednesday and there will be TWO MASSES: 8:30 am and 7:00 pm. At both masses there will be distribution of ashes. If neither of these times are good for you, you can also receive ashes from 11 :30 am-noon at the corner of Main Street in little Washington. I will be there with other members of the Rappahannock Clergy Association--praying with people and distributing ashes. The collection that we take up on Ash Wednesday will be to help the Church in

• central and eastern Europe.
