    RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A BID FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE COMMUNITY POOL

    AT THE EWING SENIOR & COMMUNITY CENTER TO RJR ENGINEERING CO., INC.

    Resolution #10R- WHEREAS, it is necessary for the renovation of the Community Pool together with the installation ofdrainage and filtration systems at the Ewing Senior & Community Center; and

    WHEREAS, the Township conducted a bidding process for the renovation of the Community Pool together with theinstallation of drainage and filtration systems at the Ewing Senior & Community Center as set forth in the Specifications andBid Documents dated September 2, 2010 prepared by Banc3, Inc. pursuant the bidding provisions as set forth by the LocalPublic Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.; and

    WHEREAS, the bids included Alternate A for addition of a PVC Lining system and Alternate B as a deduct for themain pool epoxy painting; and

    WHEREAS, the following bids were received and reviewed by the Township Attorney, the Township BusinessAdministrator and Banc3, Inc.:

    WHEREAS, Banc3, Inc. recommended award of the bid including Alternate A for addition of a PVC Liningsystem and Alternate B as a deduct for the main pool epoxy painting; and

    WHEREAS, the Township Attorney has reviewed the bids and determined that the bid of RJR Engineering, Inc.of Califon, New Jersey was the lowest responsible bid for said project and was responsive to the Specificationsand Bid Documents, and

    WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has provided a Certification of Funds;

    NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Ewing that it herebyaccepts the lowest responsive bid of RJR Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $517,631.00 for the renovation of the

    Community Pool together with the installation of drainage and filtration systems, inclusive of Alternates A andB at the Ewing Senior & Community Center in accordance with the Specifications and Bid Documents referredto herein, and

    BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and appropriate officials are hereby authorized to execute acontract consistent with the terms and conditions of the aforesaid bid in a form substantially similar to thatannexed hereto.
