Charity Structure adopted for JIO HYDERABAD 10K RUN 2014 was finalized by United Way of Hyderabad, Charity Partner of the RUN and Hyderabad 10K Foundation, Event Owner. The Charity Structure outlines various categories by which non-profit organizations and its supporters can raise funds through the event.

The broad categories of charity structure available for fund raising during the event were:

Every girl has a right to education. But,there are several girls in rural India who are forced to drop out of school for a multitude of reasons. Their education takes the bullet because of migration, care-taking duties, long commutes, and the biggest problem of all, poverty. By be-ing part of the Hyderabad 10K Run and supporting CRY you can add meaning to the miles by combining a personal challenge of getting fit and making a difference to the lives of children.

Akshaya Patra Foundation addresses the twin challenges of EDUCATION & HUNgER by providing delicious, nutritious & hot cooked meals at government schools benefiting 1.4 million children every day and we are on a mission toserve 5 million children by 2020.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDFunds will be used to provide quality meals to over 62,000 children studying in 454 government schools.

INFOTECH ENTERPRISES CHARITABlE TRUST

Cyient Foundation (formerly Infotech Enterprises Charitable Trust (IECT)) goes beyond charity and it works with the belief that as a responsible corporate, it should take into account its impact on society as much as creating business value.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDSupport government schools by offering infrastructure support adopted school children and motivates and inspires them towards success in life.

K.C. MAHINDRA EDUCATION TRUST - PROJECT NANHI KAlI

Project Nanhi Kali, the flagship program of the K.C. Mahindra Education Trust was incepted in 1996 with the objective of building an educated and literate Indian female population. It aims to provide high quality learning outcomes to underprivileged girls studying in government schools.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDTo scale up the project by supporting school kits, Academic support through learning centers

MAgIC BUS FOUNDATION

Young volunteers are trained to emerge as Mentors for children. They conductactivities and help them to become role-models. They also influence parents to build supportive environment for children.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDTowards purchase of 50 sports kits for 50 villages located in Parigi/Tandur and Bantaram mandals of RR Dist and towards training of mentors.



SRI VIDYA CENTRE

Sri Vidhya’s goal is to impart holistic education that increases competence and independence to children with intellectual and related developmental disabilities. It believes that every child has a right to learn, to play, to gain self-respect, and to develop and use her/his abilities.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDFunds will be used towards various activities taken up by the foundation.


PROJECT 511

Project 511 is run by the Hyderabad Round Table No.8 (HRT 8) Charitable Trust and works with government Schools. Its endeavour is to lessen the gaps and provide equitable conditions in government schools so that the children studying in them can be granted the luxury of focusing their energies on learning rather than overcoming basic necessities.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDUsed towards providing basic necessities like blackboards, toilets and furniture in government schools. Mobile Science labs, Study material (Class X) and Teaching learning Material (primary schools) is provided in government schools.


SPARSH HOSPICE

Sparsh Hospice provides free palliative care for terminally ill cancer patients. Key services provided are pain relief and palliation using drugs, wound care, bleeding and ulcer care, tube feeding, caring for the patient, being with the patient and allow the person to express fears and concerns about dying. It makes the transition from life to death less painful.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDTo buildown premises with 50 beds.


IMPROVINg ACCESS TO CARE AND TREATMENT (IMPACT)

IMPACT is a non-governmental organization which was formed with a vision of establishing sustainable and replicable models of care for children with cancer in public hospitals and to improve access to quality cancer care and treatment for needy children. Important support services like accommodation, nutritious food, palliative care, transportation, medicines, blood products and lab facilities are provided free of cost.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDTowards construction of a residential building for the children staying long durationsalong with their accompanying parents/guardians/relatives.

SANMATI BAl NIKETAN SANSTHA

They are working for orphans, semi orphans children and widow’s, deserted women. The organization provides food, shelter, clothes and also working for their rehabilitation.

NACHIKETA TAPOVAN

A non-profitable culturally oriented service organization. Vision is to eliminate illiteracy in the backward areas and make the people self-reliant. It provides free education to underprivileged children from Nursery to X grade. We also provide them aid for higher education.

HYDERABAD ClEFT SOCIETY (HCS)

Hyderabad Cleft Society (HCS) specializes in Complete Comprehensive rehabilitation of children born with cleft and craniofacial defects for as many as possible and to “BRINg THE SMIlE BACK” in unfortunate children. The institute provides complete treatment free of cost.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDFund will be utilized to support education and treatment of less fortunate children to have bright future.

Move The Wheel Foundation supports underprivileged schools in creating beneficial & enriched learning experience for the child.

CENTRE FOR SOCIAl SERVICE

CSS empowers girls who are orphaned or with single parent by providing quality education. Women who are in distress situation are also taking shelter with us and staying along with the residential girls.

RAINBOW CHIlDREN’S FOUNDATION

Rainbow Children’s Foundation provides free treatment to underprivileged children. Rainbow has also adopted Masaipet village, 50 kms from Hyderabad where we cater to basic health needs for all women and children completely free of cost. Rainbow also provides heavily subsidized medical care for children sponsored by ‘Heal a Child’ foundation.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDFunds will be used towards various activities taken up by the foundation.


VIVEKANANDA PUBlIC SCHOOl

School Provides totally free education to children from under-privileged and BPl families. A recognized School by the government and is run on a secular model of education with a holistic approach at the development of character and a commitment of service to the community along with Vocational Training and computer education are included.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDTo support the operational expense of the school which include staff salaries, school premises rental, mid-day meals, etc.


TAllASSEMIA AND SICKlECEll SOCIETY

It is the only place in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh having Transfusion Center attached with Blood Bank to provide Free Blood and Free Blood Transfusion to Thalassemia affected kids. The aim is to reduce the number of newly affected births.

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDTowards securing blood through camps and meet the expenses incurred in storing and transfusion of blood.


FREEDOM FOUNDATION

HOW THE FUND WILL BE UTILIZEDTo support HIV infected orphan children towards quality health, education, nutrition, and shelter. Provide HIV counselling and testing services at free of cost as well subsidized costs for people who can afford it.

Freedom Foundation is an internationally recognized NgO that provides comprehensive and holistic treatment options for HIV through a three pronged approach of prevention, care and treatment.

The Jio Hyderabad 10K Run was pure bliss. United Way of Hyderabad have really shown what it means to Run for a Cause, and I think me, along with all the other

Dream Runners, have sought to accomplish the same. We as the general public seldom recognise the joy behind giving and the sheer pleasure you experience when you see a child smile because of something you have done. Through this run, we were able to see to it, that many of these children and underprivileged persons of the city were able to be reached out to, and were helped in the most ideal way. The Run itself was an eye-opener for me; my body told me I needed to start getting in shape! All in all, the Run was definitely the best way to end a stressful semester of college.

From a charity perspective, JIO H10K was a grand success; not just in the figures but we were able to motivate many individuals and corporate to get into the act of gIVINg.
