    122,290 displaced individuals 10,000+ affected The relocation area was not strategic for the displaced individuals because (1) they are

    not welcome by the local people inhibiting there (2) and the place is far from their usual

    domicile

    22,408 elementary students displaced (accounting for 18% of the total displaced) 5 Schools unusable: 2 partially burned, 3 used as command post for rehabilitation When Mar Roxas declared on the 25th of September that schools may resume classes,

    only less than 3% on that day (less than 60 elementary students) complied since (1)

    parents withheld them from going (2) they do not have supplies for school

    1.B. amBAG Initiative Backgrounder:

    Goals are (1) to raise funds and in-kind donations and (2) to keep childrens desire to beeducated

    Requests to SAMAHAN Central Board the following, not in ordinal ranking:o Cash Donations (Account Number: 2111-0001-42); Send Deposit Slips to

    [email protected] or notify (0906) 353 7767.

    o In-Kind Donations be dropped at: Ateneo de Zamboanga University Fr. William HKreutz, SJ campus or sent to El Consejo Atenista Office, Ground Floor Xavier Hall, Fr

    Eusebio Salvader, SJ Campus, Ateneo de Zamboanga University La Purisima Street,

    Zamboanga City, 7000

    o The collection period for the project will run from September 30 to October 25. Thekits will then be distributed on November 4, 2013.

    o Coordinate to suppliers of aforesaid materials as mentioned in the kit so Ateneo deZamboanga University could purchase them at a cheaper cost.

    2. SAMAHAN Central Board Plans for amBAG Initiative:

    Make SAMAHAN Central Board the central hub for amBAG Initiative in Davao City.Coordinate with all offices in the University, and perhaps outreach in other schools and

    organizations if plausible.

    List down companies which SAMAHAN Central Board could ask for solicitations andcentralize the collection of these donations.

    Send a letter to Fr. Joel Tabora and ask for endorsement of this movement for easier accessin the coordination of offices.
