Policy objectives of CLIP? Policy objectives of CLIP? Improve local integration policies and practice on the European,
national, and local level Organise a systematic exchange of experience on ‘what works’
between local authorities in Europe Support the articulation between the European, national and the local
level on ‘good’ experience in order to deliver a more effective integration policy for migrants (Combine a bottom-up with a top-down approach)
Our understanding of ‘integration’ A two way process based on mutual rights and corresponding
obligations of legal resident third country nationals and the host society, which provides for the full participation of immigrants (mutuality)
