day! Te baby who is almost our kept us all in stitches heis a hoot and a hal!Now down to business (be prepared or a run on sentences).I visited with the gentleman at the art warehouse about themeeting in September. It is located very near the Denver AirPort. I went there today and talked to him about what artsupplies most o us use. It was very inormative. Here is what Itold him; 140 or 300 lb hot press paper. He told me that evenhis wholesale business cannot compete with Arches as mostart supply stores use this as a hook to get us in there, so hecant really oer us any real discount. Fabriano on the otherhand he can oer in bulk. He will have other paper suppliers

available that we cannot easily fnd locally. Water color paintwas limited and sort o a medium grade not really student buta bit less than pro. He stocks some oriental brands, in pans,as well as paper, the sort used or classic Asian style painting. He has brushes, travel brushes, at GOOD prices, but limitedselections. He will also provide us with ino on what brandshe can get us, how much and what discounts he can oer i webuy as a group. For pencil people he has Faber Castel and Derwent, notalways in stock, he will just order what is wanted. Not usuallyany great deals on Prismacolor as they are getting so cheapat places like Michaels. Now or the bargains! He supplies

lots o art related things; great or gits etc. Great sketchbooks, watercolor sketch books, graphite pencils, print makingsupplies, wood block stu, sculpture things (?) sharpeners, articulated wooden models (some really strange things )oil pastels, oil paint, great mini easels, wooden mini easel-paint box combinations, small palettes, portable easels, artbags, large sketch books. Wow!, I could go on and on. Mosto these items are in small amounts, sort o bits and pieces oall sorts o art stu . Brands are both amiliar and unamiliarto most o us. As they are really a showroom and warehouseshipping center to art schools, artists, galleries etc., they arenot organized like a regular art supply store. Sort o a bargain

Other topics:Jan had submitted a memo outlining thoughts on classes

provided to the members at no cost to them. Ater a bit odiscussion it was decided to be too expensive considering travel,

meals and transportation. However, the group could take oneregular meeting and turn it into a class with a guest instructor.

Susi suggested regular critique sessions per Denver area region.Te group had another discussion on juried shows, guidelines, use o mock juries. Not only would these sessions be a learningexperience, but would assist in confdence building and whatworks and what doesnt.

Note on Koebel Library show: Susi thought the venue was toocrowded. Perhaps limit entries to one per artist next time.

Libby presented the group with a superb drat outlinRMSBA Creation and Exhibition Management.

An RMSBA exhibit mission was stated. Procedures inclselection o works (juried or not juried), standardized submisand entry orms, regularly scheduled exhibits (one generalthemed), and requirements o the exhibit itsel such as lighraming, and advertising.
