    Quarterbacks (3), Returning Starter (1), Coach Matt Ca-vanaugh:On the season, Mark Sanchez has registered an 80.5passer rating, connecting on 163-of-298 passes for 1,991yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions. Registered

    his first 300-yard passing game in Week Nine at DET(11/7), when he recorded 336 yards, one touchdown andone interception on 22-of-39 passing. In his last threegames (DEN 10/17, DET 10/31 and CLV 11/14), San-chez has thrown for more yards (891) than any quarter-back in the NFL. Started the season with eight touchdownpasses and no interceptions during the first five gamesof the season, making him the youngest passer in NFLhistory to throw eight touchdown passes without an inter-ception.     Ellard:Returning veterans Jerricho Cotchery, Braylon Edwardsand Brad Smith lead this group, joined by Super BowXLIII MVP Santonio Holmes who made his New YorkJets debut in Week Five vs. MIN (10/11). Edwards leads

    Jets in both receiving yards (512) and yards per reception (17.7). His five touchdown receptions are tied fothe most on the team, with four of his five touchdownsreceptions coming on plays of 30 yards or more. Cotch-ery, who has led the team in receiving the previous threeseasons, has recorded 29 receptions for 315 yards. Smithhas caught two pass for 17 yards and has rushed for 160yards on 23 carries. He threw the first touchdown pass ohis career at BUF (10/3), a three-yard toss to TE DustinKeller. Smith has scored his six-career touchdowns in fivedifferent ways (pass, reception (2), rushing, kickoff returnand blocked punt return). He also keys the Jets Semi-nole attack.     T Wayne Hunter missed two games (MIA 9/26 and BUF10/13) due to a shin injury, but returned to action vs. MIN(10/11). C/G Robert Turner serves as the primary reserveat center and guard. Played in the fourth quarter and over-time in the teams Week 10 win at CLV (11/15). Hunter

    and Turner play in the Jets jumbo package.

    Defensive Line (7), Returning Starters (2), Coach MarkCarrier:Lost Pro Bowl NT Kris Jenkins in the season opener, buthas still held opposing rushing attacks to 3.4 yards percarry, which is good for second-best in the NFL. Thisgroup is led by two-time Pro Bowl defensive end ShaunEllis, whose 71.5 career sacks as a Jet ranks third all-time in team history. On the season, Ellis has recorded ateam-leading 3.5 sacks, 20 tackles and one forced fum-ble. Mike DeVito has earned five starts following the lossof Jenkins and leads all Jets defensive linemen with 26

    tackles. Sione Pouha has started all nine games (eightat NT and one at DT), moving over the center to replacethe injured Jenkins and has recorded 25 tackles and hasrecovered two fumbles and one sack. Versatile defen-sive lineman Vernon Gholston earns snaps on the lineand at linebacker, started the Week Nine victory at DET(11/7) and has seen action in all eight of the Jets gamesthis season. Trevor Pryce signed with the Jets on 9/29/10after being released by BLT and has helped the interiorpass rush, recording eight quarterback hits in four games.Providing depth on the defensive line is Matt Kroul, whospent the 2009 season on the practice squad.     and has been inactive for all nine games this season.Linebackers (8), Returning Starters (4), Coach Bob Sut-ton and Jeff WeeksLed by inside linebackers David Harris and Bart Scott,this unit features the NFL active sack leaderJason Taylor,versatile linebacker Bryan Thomas and 2009 Jets lead-ing sacker Calvin Pace. Harris leads the team with 76tackles, a sack, a FR and has two passes defended, whileScott is third on the club with 56 tackles, one sack, oneforced fumble and one pass defended. Thomas contin-ues to do everything asked of him recording 29 tackles,two sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and one

    fumble recovery. Taylor has added four sacks this seasonto bring his career total to 131.5. Lance Laury providesdepth inside while second-year man Jamaal Westermanearns snaps inside, outside and on the defensive line inpassing situations. Both reserves have key roles on spe-cial teams. First-year LB Josh Mauga joined the activeroster from the practice squad on (10/25) and earned hisfirst NFL action vs. GB (11/31).

    The only player to return in this group is punter SteveWeatherford, who joined the Jets before opening week in2009. Through eight games, he has placed 19 of his 47

The Jets welcomed a former Pro Bowlkicker, Nick Folk, this offseason. Folk set a Jets recordwhen he connected on a 56-yard field goal attempt atDEN (10/14). For the season, Folk has conected on 18-of-24 field goal attempts. In Week Nine, he connected ona 36-yard field goal to force a sudden-death period at De-troit (11/7).     WR JERRICHO COTCHERY

    In two career games against the Texans, Cotchery has posted

    200 yards receiving on 13 catches. In his first game againstHouston, on 11/26/06, Cotchery gained 110 yards on sevenreceptions.

    FB TONY RICHARDSON

    Richardson has carried just once, for a two-yard gain, in fourcareer games against the Texans, but has still made his pres-ence felt. He has blocked for three different 100-yard rushers,with all three posting two touchdowns as well. Priest Holmes,Larry Johnson and Thomas Jones have all amassed more than100 yards and two touchdowns rushing against Houston withRichardson leading the way.

    WR BRAYLON EDWARDS

    Sundays contest will mark the fifth time in which Edwards hasfaced the Texans in his career. In four games against Houston,he has caught 15 passes for 220 yards (14.7 avg.) and a touch-down.     The Jets look to continue there off-the-field work during the season. Heres whats has happened this month...

    THIS MONTH...

    On Tuesday, November 2, Matt Slauson, Shonn Greene, Jamaal Westerman, Joe McK-night, Rob Turner, and Matt Kroul unloaded and delivered two Satalight Learning Sta-tions, one SMART Board and four Lasso Sound Systems to P.G. Chambers School inCedar Knolls, NJ. The equipment was donated by the Jets, Teq and Front Row and isdesigned to improve the learning environment for students with disabilities.

    On Monday, November 1, Santonio Holmes partnered with former teammate DavidClowney to host Bowling with the New York Jets. The event included dinner, a silent auc-tion and two-hours of bowling with Jets players at Jersey Lanes in Linden, NJ. Proceedsfrom the event benefited Holmes III & Long Foundation, whose mission is to help in theresearch and finding a cure for Sickle Cell Disease along with assisting families that havebeen affected by SCD, and the David Clowney Foundation.

    On Monday, November 1, several Jets players showed their style at a Saks Fifth Avenue

    Fashion Show. DBrickashaw Ferguson, Vernon Gholston, Kris Jenkins, James Ihe-digbo, Jim Leonhard, Calvin Pace, Tony Richardson, Mark Sanchez and Brad Smithall walked the runway. Ten percent of the evenings sales benefitted the New York JetsFoundation.

    Brad Smith and Kyle Wilson wrapped up the Play 60 Challenge at Ridgedale MiddleSchool and Madison Junior School on Tuesday, November 9, by congratulating studentson completing the challenge and talking about healthy eating and exercise. Smith andWilson participated in activities with the students to illustrate the importance of getting60 minutes of activity each day. One boy and one girl who successfully completed thePlay 60 Challenge from five local schools will be selected to be featured in the Play 60Jets football game on Thanksgiving.

    The NFL Play 60 Challenge is a six-week program created by the NFL and the AmericanHeart Association that encourages students to participate and track at least 60 minutesof physical activity every day.

    On Tuesday, November 16, LaDainian Tomlinson and his Touching Lives Foundation willpartner with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to distribute over 2,100 turkeysto people in need.

    Additionally, New York Jets players will visit the Community Kitchen and Pantry of WestHarlem on November 16. Bart Scott andJason Taylor are scheduled to appear.

    On Tuesday, November 9,Jeff Cumberland, Josh Mauga and Patrick Turner were on-hand at the NFL Girls FLAG Leader
