Tree House & Play Zone at the Container ParkThe Container Park, located in Downtown Las Vegas, is an open-air shopping center built from repurposed shipping containers. Located a few blocks away from the Fremont Street Experience, this open-air shopping center is filled with boutique retail shops, restaurants, and live entertainment.Marking the entrance is a 55-foot metal praying mantis sculpture which shoots flames during special occasions. Once inside the park, you’ll be surrounded by unique restaurants, bars, and hip retail outlets selling a variety of clothes, toys and food. The feature attraction for kids is the children’s park. Located in a mostly-shaded area, (key for those hot summer months) the park contains a 33-foot tall slide. If that’s not enough for your kid, there’s also a NEOS playground: an electronic game that requires kids to chase after flashing lights. On hand at the park are also large foam blocks for building, throwing and jumping on. Sit back and have a drink while your child expends some energy!

To boot, they also have a large outdoor playground for toddlers and bigger kids with tree houses, water jets and a maze! Throughout the year, Town Square also presents many free kids events, such as live music in a grassy park area located next to the playground (be warned, the “grass” is fake plastic grass...it is a desert after all!).Town Square is also home to GameWorks, a state-of-the-art arcade that offers more than 200 of the hottest games organized into several themed attraction areas. You and your kids can try your hand at newer games like Dance Revolution and Indy 500 or experience old favorites such as PacMan, Centipede, and Asteroids. There’s also a carnival-style “Big Win Zone” where visitors can collect tickets for winning and redeem them for great prizes. Getting to and from Town Square won’t cost you a dime with the free Town Square Strip Shuttle. The shuttle picks up and drops off at central locations throughout Las Vegas Boulevard.

Titanic - The Artifact ExhibitThe sinking of the Titanic on April 14, 1912, was one of the worst human disasters. More than 90 years later, it continues to educate and fascinate young and old. In this 25,000-square-foot exhibition at the Tropicana, you’ll relive the calamity. With more than 300 recovered artifacts from the wreckage itself, the exhibit includes The Big Piece, a 15-ton section of the hull, the largest chunk of the Titanic ever recovered. Personal artifacts include postcards from passengers, luggage and glassware. The exhibit takes visitors on a chronological trip through the life of Titanic, from the construction of the ‘unsinkable’ ship to life onboard as it sailed across the Atlantic, right up until the terrifying plunge into freezing waters.
