From the President and Executive DirectorDear NCC Supporters and Friends,

This year NCC Habitat is proud to announce the construction and dedication of our 100th Home in North Collin County, and the construction of the 100th Habitat home in Puerto Lempira, Honduras! 100 Homes means 100 families are now living in a decent, affordable home. After 23 years of hard work by our staff, volunteers, donors and sponsors, we can celebrate this mile-stone. But, we must remember, we are just catching our stride!

Each year, we have built upon our previous successes and learned from our failures, but we have increased the families we serve exponentially through our experience, dedicated partnerships within our communities, and expanded reputation for bringing hope and help to those in need. From July 1, 2014 to present we have built 8 new homes, completed 27 exterior home renova-tions, and constructed our 4th home in Honduras. Over 6,367 volunteers gave us 27,290 hours of their time to build and repair homes for those who need it. We have exceeded our goal for the Purple House Project, which set out to raise $100,000 for Home 100.

Our ReStore continues to thrive and empower us to run lean and strong devoting 95% of ev-ery dollar donated directly into our family programs. Over the last 5 months, the ReStore has soared to new revenue heights surpassing $100,000 in sales for 5 months. Sales records of over $120,000 in the month of July 2015 were achieved through their hard work and dedicated service. We are poised for another year of growth and eventual expansion as we protect the environment through our recycling efforts, and offer our customers low cost options for home improvement items.

Now, let’s look ahead. Ten Habitat families are currently approved and awaiting a home in North Collin County. We can look around and see the need for Neighborhood Revitalization ef-forts in the communities that surround us, and we know of the poverty and desperate need of those we care about in Puerto Lempira, Honduras.

100 Homes is an accomplishment we must celebrate, but 100s of neighborhood families are still without secure, decent homes. Join with us in 2016 to build, donate, volunteer, mentor, and recycle. Use your gifts, talents, time and resources to give a family a decent home.

From the North Collin County Habitat staff, Board, and our very grateful homeowners, thank you for continuing to work alongside us into 2016 and beyond. Sincerely,

Terry Busha Terry Busha Celeste Haiduk CoxBoard President Executive Director

Home 100 -The Purple House Project2015 has been the year of 100. Celebrating this milestone for NCC Habitat has been our year-long focus. Our Purple House Project launched in March of 2015 and began our goal of raising $100,000 for Home 100. Purple, being the of-ficial color for 100, became the signature color for everything we did this year allowing us to acknowledge the milestone and spread awareness for our hous-ing programs throughout North Collin County and specifically in Celina, TX, the location of our 100th Home.

Lisa Camacho and her 3 sons MeKai, Maleek, and Jaylen are our 100th Family for NCC Habitat. Lisa is a hard-working, single mother and student. She and her sons wonderfully represented the 100 Habitat Families we have served over the years. We are so excited to see them enter this house and make it a home.

Joining us along this journey to $100,000 were many local builders, companies, individuals and churches. We are pleased to announce that we officially raised $101,139 in financial donations and $13,074 through InKind donations toward this home.

Events marking the Purple House Project campaign trail were the Celina Cajun Festival, Celina Balloon Festival, ReStore Spring Bling & Birthday Bash, Purple House Dinner on the Slab, and our “100th Home Celebra-tion Event – A Purple-Tie Event” held November 7th at the Sheraton McKinney. This elegant evening focused on our 100 Habitat families and the continued need within our communities for decent, affordable housing. Response from those attending the event was significant as $6,471 was raised through the dedicate give portion of the night.

Funding raised through the Purple House Project – Home 100 will be used in construction of the 100th and 101st Homes. Helping us reach this goal were many individual, corporate and faith based partners. We would like to thank those contributing to our goal of $100,000. Con-tributing sponsors were: American Legend Homes, Andy McAnally, Ben Gail Lowrimore, Brett Winters, Cain Custom Builders, Celina Bible danek, Dennis & Sandi TelzrowHeart, Gentle Creek Country

Expanded focus on donated items

Habitat ReStore - Growth, Change and StrengthsNCC Habitat continues to be greatly empowered by the ReStore. 2014-2015 was no exception as we saw a shift in purchases from new and purchased items to donated materials, increasing our profit dollars that can be put into NCC Habitat and our family programs. Similarly, our ReStore sales figures were record set-ters with 5 months of sales over $100,000. July 2015 sales set a store record with $123,000 in one month.

A very successful year was realized overall for the ReStore with strong sales and donations received. This year’s total sales reached $1,110,226 with a total In Kind donations of $491,550 diverting 1,332,110 in lbs. of waste from local landfills. Total number of customers for FY 14-15 was 26,489 with an average ticket sale of $41.62 NCC Habitat’s cost avoidance realized through the ReStore was $14,723. Thank you to all our ReStore donors, customers, volunteers and friends.

Whether it is through individuals or companies, ReStore staff have focused their efforts on receiving dona-tions. This year alone we had several new partners join us in donating items. These corporate partners include Aidan Gray, A.A. Porter Lighting Company, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Home Depot, Stonebrook Hollow Homes, and Window World. This shift toward donated items can be seen through merchandising within the store as well. Donated items were moved to prominent location at the entrance of the store.

Other changes explored this past year within the ReStore were in the areas of Advertising and Inventory Management. Our new color coding system has proven to be an effective inventory management system as well as a discount system, making it an easy and consistent method of discounting older merchandise while maximizing the value of a donation. Advertising efforts were accelerated and explored. Billboard advertising for the ReStore to North bound traffic on Highway 5 brought an influx of new customers who previously did not realize we were here. We continued this method of advertising in Princeton, TX to an-nounce the ReStore Birthday Bash event and received solid returns.
