7. Once properly heated, push on the chrome pins protrud-ing from the back of the grille (see previous photo), thenturn the grille over and use a squeegee to pry the factoryemblem from the factory grille. Do not use a metal tool toremove the emblem, you may damage the chrome!

5. Lift up and push forward on the lower retaining clips.

8. Remove the factory double faced tape and install the sup-plied .045 x 1 double faced tape (as shown), then removethe double faced tape liner (not shown).

9. Install the supplied emblem moun ting plate, making surethat the holes in the plate fit over the short alignment pinson the back of the factory emblem. Press firmly to set thedouble faced tape.

10. Cut out and align thelower grille tape location template,taping it into place. Cut the supplied foam tape to fitinside the rectangular notches in the template.

4. Use a phillips screwdriver to remove the screws across thebottom of the grille.

15. Remove anyprotective liner that could get caught underthe torx pin head scews.16. Make sure that thelower mesh grille is perfectly cen-tered in the factory grille opening17. Thetorx pin head screws will self tap into the bumpercover through the mounting tabs. DO NOT OVERTIGHT-EN or you will strip out the mounting holes.18. Finish removing theprotective liner from the surround.

14. Install the suppliedspacers onto the lower center stud.15. Align thelower mesh grille assembly into place, thenreach through the upper grille opening to install thesupplied small black plastic washer and a #8-32 ESNAhalf nut onto the center lower mounting stud. Tightenonly until the washers no longer rotate but DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN. Overtightening will indent the surroundat the stud location.

IMPORTANT!The exposed edges of the stainless steel grille

and mesh can be extremely sharp. Please handlewith care.

12. Install the supplied .045 x .250 double faced tape tothe back of the factory emblem and the emblem sur-round once the surfaces are clean.

13. Use masking tape to tape 1/2 in from the edge of thegrille opening and scuff the paint on the bumper cover.Paint the return edge of the bumper cover and anythinginside the grille opening with flat or semi-gloss blackpaint.

11. Cut out and align thelower grille hole locationtemplate, taping it into place. Use an awl or similarpointed tool to mark the center of the hole.

23. Apply masking tape to the lower grille center divider asshown. Measure and mark the center line of the lowergrille opening, then measure up 1/4 (.250) and drill a5/16 (.312) hole for the lower grilles center mountingstud.

20. Use a 5/16 drill bit to enlarge the slots in the bumpercover for stud clearance, then align the lower studs onthe mesh grille through the enlarged slots.

21. Install a black plastic spacer and a #8-32 ESNA half nutonto each of the lower four (4) mounting studs andtighten until the lower edge of the mesh grille is tightagainst the bumper cover.

23. Reinstall the factory push pins removed in Step 1 (rightside shown) to secure the E&G grille top plate to thefactory trim panel.

22. Close the hood and check to see if the grille needs tomove in or out to line up just behind the edge of thehood. Position the grille as needed, open the hood anduse a .125 (1/8) drill bit to drill through the holes inthe top plate and through the bumper cover.

23. Install a small black plastic washer and a #8-32 ESNAhalf nut onto each of the lower four (4) mounting studsand tighten until the lower edge of the mesh grille istight against the bumper cover.

19. Reinstall the factory plastic panel removed in Step 2.

22. Peel off the protective cover from thestainless steel sur-round at the emblem mounting area.22. Install theemblem assembly onto the surround usingthe supplied #10 lock washers and #8-32 hex nuts andcompletely tighten.

Install the factory plastic push fasteners to secure theE&G grille top plate to the support.

23. Reinstall the factory plastic panel removed in Step 19. 23. Peel off the protective cover from the stainless steel sur-rounds. Thoroughly clean the grilles to finish the installa-tion. CAUTION! Be careful while cleaning as the edges ofthe stainless steel can be very sharp.24. Finished installation.
