1. Apple Music Streaming
• The new Apple Music app includes the new Apple Music streaming service designed to take on Spotify, Pandora and other services.
• The iOS 8.4 update enables this new app and includes a free three-month trial of the Apple Music service.
• With Apple Music you can pay $9.99 a month for an individual or $14.99 a month for a family of up to six members and enjoy full albums on demand and save music for offline playback.

2. Audio Books in iBooks
• The new iBooks app now houses the audio books.
• This is a major shift away from the music app that now focuses exclusively on music.
• This small change will help book listening and music listening separate.

3. Mini Player for Music • The new Mini Player for the Apple
Music app sits at the bottom of the screen right above the tabs, allowing users to keep looking for new music and navigating in the music app and control music.
• With the Mini Player active it is possible to move through the Music app and choose other items to play next without interrupting the current playlist

4. Up Next Options
• Any song in Apple Music or in the library can be added to an on the go playlist that lines up the tracks.
• The two options are Play Next and Add to Up Next.
• The first option will make it the next song, but it will finish the current song.
• Add to Up Next will add to a playlist that fits the mood, without making a special playlist.

5. Fix for iMessage bug
• Apple finally delivers a fix for the iMessage bug that would allow users to break someone's iPhone with a special Unicode message.
• 8.4 update installed this special message should not crash the iPhone anymore.

6. Easier to Delete Purchased Music
• Whenever iPhone is plugged into a car, the Music app plays the first song in alphabetical order.
• With iOS 8.4 the new Apple Music app lets users delete songs they don't like, even if they are purchases.
• There is no option to delete all the purchased music in one go, but this is a start.

7. Gestures in Music App
• The Music app is finally ready for gestures.
• Swipe from left to right to go back one screen. Pull up from the mini player to see what is currently playing and access more options to re-arrange the Up Next section. Swipe down to close the mini player.
• This is a small feature, but one that helps the music app feel more fluid and in line with the rest of the music apps.

8. Beats1 Radio & Radio Upgrades
• The new Beats1 Radio is a 24/7 global radio station with DJ's delivering music straight to the iPhone or iPad.
• This is one of the human-powered ways to discover new music in iOS 8.4.
• With iOS 8.4 the Music app makes it easier to create a Genius playlist or to start a radio station from the music that one is listening to.
• Tapping on the three dots next to a song and then choosing Start Station or Start Genius Playlist will get going with customized tunes.

9. Playlists and Songs Available Offline
• With Apple Music one can choose to make a playlist available offline so that those songs can be played without using data.
• Tap on a playlist in Apple Music and then on the three dots to download music to the iPhone or iPad while connected to Wi-Fi.

10. iOS 8.3 Bug Fixes
• Apple also includes a number of bug fixes in iOS 8.4.
• One of the big iOS 8.4 bug fixes now allows GPS accessories to deliver location data to the iPhone and iPad.
• Another fix Apple calls out in iOS 8.4 is related to the Apple Watch. On iOS 8.3, Apple Watch apps would some times re-install. In iOS 8.4 this should not happen, Apple Watch apps can be managed easily.
