When researching in the lab each week, you will need:

10 index cards for research.

10 index cards to create game cards.

Step 1 Step 2

Step #1 – The Research Card

First, write the week’s topic on the top left hand corner of the card.

Next, write your first and last name in the top right hand corner.

Go to the media center web page and click on “Assignments”.

Click on “Ancient Greece”.

Choose one of the sites in the list.As a class, we’ll try out “Ancient Greece”.

Since our theme this week is “Mythology”, we’ll check out the mythology link.

For our first card, let’s focus on Poseidon.

Get one of your blank “Mythology” cards. For each card, you need to have 2 facts.

Next, you need to write down the web site where you got the information.

Before you ever move on to Step 2 (the game cards), you need to complete all 10 research cards.

10 cards = 20 factsYou will have 2 days in the computer lab to complete your 10 research cards PLUS finish your game cards.

Step #2 – The Game Card

You also want to label the 10 game cards with the category and your name. To make it stand out from your research card, put a BIG question mark in highlighter on each card. Number the cards 1 – 10.

You change the facts on your cards into a question format. Keep track of the correct answers on a separate sheet of paper under the heading of the week.
