The 5th edition of Movie Score Malaga (MOSMA), an international audiovisual music festival organized by the Festival de Málaga and Malaga City Council, will take place from September 10th to 12th in an edition fully adapted to the current health & safety circumstances. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, MOSMA is filling the program this year with concerts, all of which will have limited entry with all the standard health, safety and hygiene protocols in place.

MOSMA is an event dedicated to audiovisual music, an artistic discipline that is part of our daily lives through series, video games and, of course, on the big screen in feature films. It seeks to be an international meeting point for well known composers as well as for upcoming new talent.

In just the few editions since its beginning, MOSMA has already brought together important names such as Craig Armstrong, Jan AP Kazcmarek, Roque Baños, Sean Callery, Kenji Kawai, Tyler Bates, Trevor Jones, David Shire, Víctor Reyes, Mac Quayle, José Nieto , Rupert Gregson-Williams, Neal Acree, John Powell, Christophe Beck, Víctor Reyes, Rodrigo Cortés, Taro Iwashiro, Jeff Russo, Jeff Beal, Oblique & Carlos Bayona, Marco Frisina, John Debney, Roque Baños, Robert Folk and Yasunori Mitsuda, among others. They are joined this year by significant names on the current music scene such as Sergio de la Puente, Eneko Vadillo, Joan Martorell, Dani Trujillo, Carles Cases, Isabel Royán, Pablo Cervantes, Luc Suárez, Javier Bayón, the Ferrando brothers, Óscar Senén, Manel Santisteban, Iván Martínez Lacámara and Antón García Abril.

Last July, one of the most important European Composers and author of +500 Movie & TV Series soundtracks, Ennio Morricone, sadly passed away only just one month after he was awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts alongside John Williams. MOSMA 2020 will pay tribute to him with a concert held by the Malaga Symphony Orchestra, which is an

experience in itself and in which we will also hear some mythical

pieces ‘re-imagined’ by the Directors and
