The logotype is composed of three elements:• the symbol composed of the energy curves, • the Total name in the official brand typeface,• the name Foundation.

The sphere and the Total Foundation name must not, in any case, be dissociated.

1 - The Logotype / Protected Area and Minimum Print Size

Protected areaA clear space is left around the logotype to optimize readability. The clear space area is standardized in line with the size of the logotype.

No other objects, words or graphic components, may be placed in the clear space. The protected area is half the width of the capital “T” of the Total logotype.

The logotype is preferably applied on a white or very light background so as not to hinder its readability.

The application on dark colors or backgrounds composed of visuals is possible but strongly discouraged.

1 - The Logotype / Prohibited Uses

The logo application guidelines are mandatory. No modifications in the color or shape of the logo symbol or typeface are allowed.

1. Do not modify the space between the typeface and the symbol.

2. Do not use a different typeface.3. Do not make the symbol bigger than the word.4. Do not slant the logo or any of its components.5. Do not use different colors for the symbol or the typeface.

6. Do not adapt the symbol.7. Do not modify the symbol or typeface

(by making them narrower, for example).8. Do not write “Total” in its specific typeface

in titles or body copy.9. Do not use the symbol (energy curves) alone.
