  • Stage Fright! (or How to Control Presentation Anxiety) You must talk yourself out of negative thoughts Identifying the causes of your anxiety will allow you to do something about them

  • Step 2: Replace Your Fears with Positive Thoughts Fear: Everyone will see how nervous I am! Positive Thought: Nervousness is normal. Everyone feels the same way. And I dont look as nervous as I feel.

If you practice your presentation in front of a mirror and time yourself, you will know that your presentation is the right length of time. Try your presentation in front of family or friends first. Get their feedback.

  • Suggestions for Listeners Give the speaker positive reinforcement. Show the speakers you are interested in what they are saying. Dont chit-chat with your neighbor. Smile, nod your head, take notes this will give the speaker confidence.
