The benefits of social capital flow from the trust, reciprocity, information, and cooperation associated with social networks. There is a problem though, when it comes to innovation. For successful innovation one needs both to overcome trust and cooperation problems and entrepreneurial possibilities. Both theories make predictions about who adopts an innovation.
