Message from Vice Chancellor

Welcome to Primeasia University, Bangladesh – also known by its acronym PAU. It is a private

sector university with its main campus in Dhaka. The University was established in 2003 with

professional support from some renowned national and international academics as a pioneer

private university.

PAU is committed to prepare its students as able professionals --- creative, committed, liberal,

alive to their environment and capable to contribute to the country’s advancement as well as

achieve their goals in a rapidly changing economic and civic environment.

PAU is known for providing the most progressive higher education in the country. It stands out

in our region as a seat of intellectual and creative activities. In its four schools at present, it offers

of courses --- designed with the assistance national and our own faculty members. The effort is

to make the courses comprehensive to achieve the objective of preparing our students for

successful careers and instill in them the values of lifelong learning.

Some distinctive features make PAU a leader among the private universities. The facilities

available to pursue study are top class in the country. The library provides invaluable resources

to gather knowledge, the computer centers offer online search facilities to assist students in

finding information for course work, the specialized laboratories provide the necessary research

facilities to support studies and projects, the counseling system guides the students in academic

planning and our Career Guidance & Placement assists students in choosing their future careers.

The extra-curricular activities are important part of university life here, and students get every

support and encouragement to pursue a hobby, a sport or an interest, whether one joins as a

novice or an expert. The students will find here a number of clubs, associations and societies for

organizing social events, providing them enough opportunities to flower their beyond- the-class

talents. The University has forged close links with the government, the business and the industry as well

as with the universities abroad to make teaching and research relevant and responsive to the

needs of the country. It has two research and one continuing education centers to maintain close

links of the University with the society through their activities.
