THE DASH Memorial Day was over now, And I stood there all aloneI began to read

the names and datesChiseled on every stone.

The dates which showed

the time that was spent,between the time

It was then I noticed something small, It was but a simple line:It was the dash

between the dates placed there, A dash that

stood for time.

It’s God who gives this precious lifeAnd

We know He’ll write the last date
