Who Is God?Whenever the doorbell rings at our house, there is a LOT of excitement. The dog barks frantically, and most everyone runs to the door to find out WHO is knocking.

It’s exciting to peek out the window and identify our guests, isn’t it? But in our house we have a rule that no one is allowed to answer the door unless we know the person knocking.

What safety rules does your family have about answering the door?______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________

Just as it’s important to know who you are letting into your house, it’s important that you know WHO you let into your heart.

Every day we make choices about what we listen to and who we believe. This book is all about filtering out the lies and standing firm on God’s truths. But first, if you have trusted Christ as your Savior and have a saving faith in Him, it’s really important that you know WHO you are trusting.

If you don’t, it will be difficult to know if you can believe Him, right?

Before we see what the Bible says, what do you already know about who God is? ___________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________

Grab your Bible, and let’s see what we can learn about God.

What are some of the dangers you worry about?

It’s interesting how sometimes as parents we focus on the external dangers, like who is coming into our house, and we forget to evaluate who we are letting into the hearts and minds of our kids. Have you been guilty of that, too?

One really powerful way we can show our kids God’s character is to share these stories with them. Be transparent and tell your kids what He has done in your life!
