Each tour will have a minimum of two SDOs and one “lead” clerk who are trained by IPS.

Plant will place trays of PARS mail, without disturbing integrity of separator cards, into rolling stock for subsequent processing.

Intercept mail from DBCS and ISS/OSS operations will be PARS placarded as appropriate and flow to CIOSS operation.

Delivery Unit Operations

Delivery Units will place PARS mail into trays by Endorsement Reason for return with separator card at back of tray.

PARS delivery coordinator has instructed each D.U. on proper mail prep and containerization SOP.

Plant MHs will place trays of PARS mail from D.U. into rolling stock, placard, weigh-in and send to CIOSS staging area.

Local Waste mail Procedures An SOP has been developed for the flow of waste

mail from CIOSS operations for waste verification. NO MAIL will be “wasted” on the CIOSS. Must be verified before disposal

automated mail stream.

RTS Damaged mail will be processed to retain reason for return and returned to automated mail stream if possible.
