    2 Mount Sub-Brackets

    Lay the sub-brackets out according to the appropriate figure below.

    Use fabric alignment holes to position the sub-bracket right toleft. The fabric alignment holes will line up with the outsideedge of the shade tube.Note: Fabric edge may not line up with the edge of the tube (due to shipping or telescoping).

    4 Mount EDU Shade

    Hook the lip of the ElectronicDrive Unit of the shade bracketonto the top of the sub-bracketand swing shade down untilshade bracket rests against thebottom of sub-bracket.

    Rotate the idler side bracket until it aligns withthe sub-bracket and repeatthe process in 4.2

    Remove retaining screwsfrom shade brackets.

    WARNING:Shades wider than 4 ft (1.2 m)require two people to install.

    Important Note: Wheninstalling a coupled shade system, install the shade with the Electronic Drive Unit(wired) first.

    Note: Leave protectivewrapping on shade duringinstallation.

    4.4Tighten the retaining screw in eachbracket to secure shade. Screwsshould be tightened down all the way.

    WARNING:After installing retaining screws, gentlypush up and pull down on the rollershade to ensure a secure installation.

    6 Connect Terminal Blocks

    Plug 7-pin terminal block on cable into EDU terminal blockattached to shade bracket.

    Note: EDU terminal blockclips onto shade bracket tohold connected terminalblocks in place.

    Ensure terminal blocksare oriented as shown.

    1 Mount Coupled Shade7

    7.1

    Hang second shade, inserting shaftinto the opening or “ ”.

    Move Electronic Drive Unit shade to align opening “up” or “ ” (seeillustration) if wall, jamb or pocketmount. If ceiling or fascia mount align opening “out” or “ ”.

    Move the shade left or right untilcentered.

    7.3

    7.4Tighten the retaining screw in eachbracket to secure shade. Screwsshould be tightened down all the way.

    WARNING:After installing retaining screws, gentlypush up and pull down on the rollershade to ensure a secure installation.

    Note: Electronic Drive Unit must be powered before proceeding tothis step. Electronic Drive Unit isrotated by pressing adjustment( ) buttons on the ElectronicDrive Unit.

    8 Installation of Hairpin Clip

    Insert hairpin clip through holein shafts, making sure that it isinserted into both the EDUshade shaft and the coupledshade shaft.

    8.1

    Note: Needle nose pliersare needed to insert/removehairpin clip.

    8.2Ensure hairpin clip is orientedperpendicular to the shaft,and that it is inserted to theproper depth, such that shaftaligns with center pin.

    9 Hembar Alignment

    Use the adjustment buttons ( ) to rotatethe shade until the hairpin clip is vertical.

    9.1

    Verify orientation is correctby looking up through thehole in the shade bracketnext to the leveling screwon the coupler side of thenon-Electronic Drive Unit shade.

    The hole in the metal coupled shaft should bevisible in the slot in theplastic coupler.

    9.2

    Note: The Electronic Drive Unit will need to be powered to complete this step.No.1 phillips screwdriver will be needed for this step.

    Use the screwdriveras a lever as shownto release the coupler.

    While coupler is released,rotate non-Electronic DriveUnit shade to align hembars.

    1 Adjust Shade Level 10

    Turn the leveling screws to raise/lower the shades.

    10.1

    Note: If there are 2 shades in the coupled system, level the Electronic Drive Unit shade firstand the non-EDU shade second.

    Note: If there are 3 or more shades in the coupled system, level the Electronic Drive Unitshade first and the adjacent shade second and the shade furthest from the Electronic DriveUnit shade last.

    Note: If there are 3 or more shades in the coupled system, repeat steps 7 through 9 beforeadjusting shade level.

    When leveling at the coupler there are two leveling screws (one for each shade). These two screwsmust be adjusted together and kept at the same level to ensure the coupled pin does not bind.

    Note: Shades should be leveled to within 1/8 in. (3 mm) of each other to prevent binding.

    Once the shade with the Electronic Drive Unit has been leveled, the shade(s) without theElectronic Drive Unit can now be leveled.

    11 Setting Limits from the Electronic Drive Unit

    Tap the “Open Limit Button”( ), the LED on the rollerShade Electronic Drive Unitwill turn on steady, indicatingthat the Electronic Drive Unitis in “Set Open Limit Mode”.

    Open LimitButton.

    Adjust the position of theElectronic Drive Unit shade tothe desired Open Limit usingthe adjustment buttons ( ).

    11.2

    Use the Adjustmentbuttons to move theElectronic Drive Unitshade position.

    The Open and Close Limits determine how far an Electronic Drive Unit will travel. When the open buttonis pressed on a Keypad, IR transmitter, or CCI, the Electronic Drive Unit will move to the Open Limit.When the close button is pressed on a keypad, IR transmitter, or CCI, the Electronic Drive Unit will moveto the Close Limit. The Electronic Drive Unit will not move higher than the Open Limit or lower than theClose Limit.

    Note: Setting the Open Limit below the Close Limit will cause the shade to move downwhen raise is pressed and up when lower is pressed.

    Press and hold the “OpenLimit Button” ( ) for 5 seconds. The LED on theroller shade Electronic DriveUnit will flash for 2 seconds,then go dark, indicating that the current position has been stored as theOpen Limit.

    11.3

    Press and hold theOpen Limit Buttonfor 5 seconds.

    Tap the “Close LimitButton” ( ). The LED onthe roller Shade ElectronicDrive Unit will turn onsteady, indicating that theElectronic Drive Unit is in“Set Close Limit Mode”.

    Limited WarrantyReplacement parts for the System provided byLutron or, at its sole discretion, an approved ven-dor may be new, used, repaired, reconditioned,and/or made by a different manufacturer.EXCLUSIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

    This Warranty will be void, and Lutron and itssuppliers will have no responsibility under thisWarranty, if Lutron or its representatives cannotaccess any components of the System toinspect, diagnose problems with or repair theSystem or any of its components as a result ofconcealment or inaccessibility of such compo-nents within a building structure.

    This Warranty does not cover, and Lutron and itssuppliers are not responsible for:

    1. Damage, malfunction or inoperability diag-nosed by Lutron or a Lutron approved thirdparty as caused by normal wear and tear,abuse, misuse, incorrect installation, neglect,accident, interference or environmental fac-tors, such as (a) use of incorrect line voltagesfuses or circuit breakers; (b) failure to install,maintain and operate the System pursuant tothe operating instructions provided by Lutronand the applicable provisions of the NationalElectrical Code and of the Safety Standards ofUnderwriter's Laboratories; (c) use of incom-patible devices or accessories; (d) improper orinsufficient ventilation; (e) unauthorized repairsor adjustments or alterations; (f) vandalism; (g)an act of God, such as fire, lightning, flooding,tornado, earthquake, hurricane or other prob-lems beyond Lutron’s control; or (h) directexposure to corrosive materials.

    2. On-site labor costs to diagnose issues with,and remove, repair, replace, adjust, reinstalland/or reprogram the System or any of itscomponents.

    3. Components and equipment external to theSystem, such as, non-Lutron lighting andautomation systems; building wiring audio-visual equipment; and non-Lutron time clocks,photosensors and motion detectors.

    4. The cost of repairing or replacing other prop-erty that is damaged when any System doesnot work properly, even if the damage wascaused by the System.

    SCOPEThis limited warranty (“Warranty”) covers theLutron supplied (a) Sivoia QED Shade System(“Sivoia QED Shade System”), (b) manual shadesystem and (c) alternating current or a/c shadesystem (each of the foregoing being a “System”).Customer acknowledges and agrees that use ofthe System constitutes acceptance of all termsand conditions of this Warranty.

    LIMITED WARRANTYSubject to the exclusions and restrictionsdescribed below, Lutron warrants that eachSystem will be free from manufacturing defectsfrom the date of shipment by Lutron for a periodof (a) one year as to the wall controls, interfacesand system accessories of the Sivoia QED ShadeSystem (“External Sivoia QED Components”) and(b) eight years as to the other Systems and theelectronic drive unit, shade fabric and shadehardware of the Sivoia QED Shade System. Ifany manufacturing defect exists in the ExternalSivoia QED Components, so long as Customerpromptly notifies Lutron of the defect within theone year warranty period and, if requested byLutron, returns the defective part(s), Lutron will, atits option, either repair the defective part(s) orprovide comparable replacement part(s). If anymanufacturing defect exists in any of the compo-nents of a System other than the External SivoiaQED Components, so long as Customer prompt-ly notifies Lutron of the defect within the eightyear warranty period and, if requested by Lutron,returns the defective part(s), Lutron will, at itsoption, either repair the defective part(s) or issuea credit to the Customer against the purchaseprice of comparable replacement part(s) pur-chased from Lutron as provided below:
